شهدت اليمن تصعيداً عسكرياً على عدة جبهات بالتزامن مع استمرار عملية «فجر اليمن» التي تنفذها القوات الحكومية لاستعادة المناطق الخاضعة لسيطرة مليشيا الحوثي، وسط غارات جوية ومواجهات ميدانية، وتطورات أمنية امتدت إلى محيط العاصمة صنعاء ومحافظات شمالية وغربية.
واصلت القوات اليمنية قصف مواقع مليشيات الحوثي في المخا ومأرب والجوف وتعز، فضلاً عن لحج وغيرها من المناطق. واستهدف الطيران المسير تجمعات حوثية في مناطق متفرقة تقع تحت سيطرة المليشيات.
واحتدمت المواجهات في جبهة كهبوب في لحج، حيث شنت مليشيا الحوثي هجوماً واسعاً استمر لقرابة 30 ساعة، إلا أن قوات “درع الوطن” والعمالقة أحبطت هذا الهجوم بالكامل، مع الحفاظ على مواقعها، وإسقاط عدة طائرات مسيّرة انتحارية في أجواء الجبهة بمحاذاة باب المندب.
وتبرز جبهة تعز ضمن أبرز محاور التصعيد، إذ أعلنت القوات الحكومية استهداف مركز قيادة وسيطرة ودبابتين في فندق سوفتيل المهجور شرقي المدينة، فيما تواصلت المواجهات في عدد من الجبهات، بينها صبر المسراخ والأقروض.
وفي الساحل الغربي، أفادت مصادر ميدانية بشن خمس غارات جوية على مدينة المخا ومحيط الميناء ومواقع على الساحل، فيما تحدثت وسائل إعلام حوثية عن غارات إضافية استهدفت مناطق في صعدة.
وأكدت مصادر عسكرية شن غارات على مواقع حوثية في محيط جبال عطان غربي صنعاء، فيما شهدت تعز اشتباكات عنيفة شرقي المدينة، واستهداف مركز قيادة وسيطرة ودبابتين في فندق سوفتيل المهجور، وفق القوات الحكومية.
Yemen has witnessed a military escalation on several fronts coinciding with the ongoing “Dawn of Yemen” operation carried out by government forces to regain areas under the control of the Houthi militia, amidst airstrikes, field confrontations, and security developments that have extended to the vicinity of the capital Sana’a and northern and western governorates.
The Yemeni forces continued to bombard Houthi militia positions in Al-Mokha, Marib, Al-Jawf, and Taiz, as well as in Lahij and other areas. Drones targeted Houthi gatherings in various locations under militia control.
Clashes intensified on the Al-Khubub front in Lahij, where the Houthi militia launched a wide-ranging attack that lasted for nearly 30 hours; however, the “National Shield” forces and the Giants Brigade completely thwarted this attack while maintaining their positions and shooting down several suicide drones in the skies over the front near Bab al-Mandab.
The Taiz front stands out as one of the main escalation points, as government forces announced the targeting of a command and control center and two tanks in the abandoned Sofitel hotel east of the city, while confrontations continued on several fronts, including Sabir Al-Masrak and Al-Qurud.
On the western coast, field sources reported five airstrikes on the city of Al-Mokha and the surrounding port and coastal sites, while Houthi media spoke of additional strikes targeting areas in Saada.
Military sources confirmed airstrikes on Houthi positions in the vicinity of the Atan Mountains west of Sana’a, while Taiz witnessed intense clashes east of the city and the targeting of a command and control center and two tanks in the abandoned Sofitel hotel, according to government forces.
