The Capital Market Authority has circulated to all financial market institutions the necessity of adhering to the provisions and regulations governing algorithmic trading, starting from November 1, 2026, with the aim of enhancing the safety and efficiency of trading, and reducing risks and potential negative impacts on the financial market.
The Authority has mandated financial market institutions that the rate of algorithmic trading orders should not exceed 20 orders per trading day for each registered trader and for each listed security, relative to the total executed orders on the security in the main market during the open market session (the second session), according to the classification of securities based on their liquidity levels, which includes high, medium, low, and very low liquidity categories.

The Authority has granted financial market institutions a deadline until December 31, 2026, to adjust their situations in accordance with the new regulations, based on the draft regulatory provisions that were presented for public consultation on September 24, for a period of 30 calendar days.
