Sources revealed to “Okaz” that the management of Al-Taee Club did not file an official protest regarding their team’s loss to Al-Wahda with a score of 1/6 in the seventh round of the First Division League. Instead, the statement of protest was intended to draw the attention of the fans to the heavy defeat that Al-Taee’s team suffered against Al-Wahda.
On another note, Al-Wahda team jumped from fifth place to fourth after defeating their counterpart Al-Saqr in Mecca in the ninth round with a score of two to one, raising their points total to 15. They maintained their record of not suffering any defeats since the start of the First Division League. The knights are looking forward to a heated match next (Tuesday) against Al-Raed at 6:00 PM at Al-Raed Club Stadium (Buraidah) in the tenth round of the First Division League. Coach Slavatshi Voinitsky refused to grant the players a break and subjected everyone to continuous training, urging them to move on from the joy of victory over Al-Saqr to focus on overcoming the upcoming match against Al-Raed and seizing the three points. Voinitsky did not deviate from the tactics and formation he used in the previous match against Al-Saqr, as he demanded all players to concentrate and perform their technical duties on the field, and not to allow the opponent to organize an attack that threatens our goal.
On another front, the club’s management promised all players a generous reward if they manage to seize points from the match against Al-Raed and continue competing for the First Division League title and promotion to the Roshan Saudi Professional League.
