Sources from “Okaz” revealed that the management of Al-Ittihad Club is moving towards canceling the idea of holding a training camp in the Spanish city of Marbella, which was scheduled to take place in early January 2027. This decision comes after the rescheduling of the Roshan Saudi Professional League matches in the upcoming January, and the Asian Football Confederation announced last Tuesday the rescheduling of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals, which are set to be held in Saudi Arabia, to take place from December 23, 2027, to January 21, 2028, instead of the previously scheduled dates from January 7 to February 5, 2027.
On another note, the players of Al-Ittihad team will return to training this week in preparation for the resumption of the Roshan Saudi Professional League matches, following the break granted to them by the coaching staff led by coach Jens Wissing after the pause in local competitions due to the international break. Coach Wissing aims to take advantage of the current period to address all the technical mistakes in the Al-Ittihad team and to return in a different manner to continue competing for titles both locally and continentally this season.
