The Lebanese artist Elissa revealed that she is embarking on a new romantic experience, confirming that she has moved past the effects of her previous relationships and has become more convinced about her current choice, having found in her partner the qualities she has been looking for. This was shared during a phone call with the media personality Amr Adib on the program “Al-Hekaya”.
Elissa spoke about her past romantic experiences and the disappointments and heartbreaks she has faced, noting that that phase has become part of the past, and she no longer allows anyone to cause her pain, stating: “Heartbreak is a phase I went through in my life, and at this stage, there is no one to break my heart; I have chosen the right person.”
Details of Her New Relationship
Regarding the characteristics of her current boyfriend, Elissa mentioned that he is about two or three years older than her and holds a nationality other than Lebanese, pointing out that honesty was one of the main things that attracted her to him. She expressed her admiration for his personality without disclosing his name or revealing further details about the relationship.
“Elissar”… Elissa Returns to Her Real Name
On the artistic front, Elissa released her fourteenth album titled “Elissar” (ELISSAR), in an experience where she chose to return to her real name “Elissar Zakaria Khoury,” which is linked to the history of the Phoenician queen Elissar, who embodies symbols of strength and independence.
She explained that the name holds a personal significance for her that goes beyond mere labeling, as it reflects her identity and the milestones of her human and artistic journey. She described the album as part of her story, telling her audience: “Elissar is not just my real name, but it is the name that carries my story, my identity, and every version of myself that I have been and will be.”
14 Songs in Three Arabic Dialects
The album includes 14 songs, varying between 9 works in the Egyptian dialect, 4 in the Lebanese dialect, in addition to a Gulf song titled “Shita Al-Riyadh,” written by Abdullah Al-Mulhim and composed by Rami Al-Shafie, representing the first original song Elissa presents in the Gulf dialect.
Elissa collaborated during the album with several prominent poets and composers, including Marwan Khoury, who worked with her on three Lebanese songs: “Aatini Ghamra,” “Matarat,” and “Baddi Yak,” alongside Tamer Ashour in the songs “Habtal Aheb” and “Washi Nour,” and Aziz Al-Shafie in “Kashf Al-Hisab” and “Al-Oda Al-Dalma.”
The Album in Full Without Music Videos
Elissa chose a different approach in releasing her new album, as she made all fourteen songs available to the audience at once, instead of releasing them sequentially. She also decided not to film any music videos for the works, allowing more space for listeners to discover the music and lyrics and engage with the experience away from the visual image.
