عقدت لجنة فلسطين بالبرلمان العربي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، اجتماعها الثاني لدور الانعقاد الثاني من الفصل التشريعي الرابع، في إطار متابعتها لمستجدات الأوضاع في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، وذلك برئاسةمحمد بن أحمد الماحي رئيس البرلمان العربي، وبحضور السفير مهند العكلوك مندوب دولة فلسطين الدائم لدى جامعة الدول العربية.
وأكد رئيس البرلمان العربي أن دعم القضية الفلسطينية يظل أولوية مطلقة للبرلمان العربي، وأن أي محاولات لصرف الأنظار عن الجرائم المستمرة في قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية لن تنجح، مشددًا على أن فلسطين ليست ملفًا عابرًا أو قضية يمكن تأجيلها، بل هي البوصلة التي توجه كل تحركات البرلمان السياسي والبرلماني.
وشدد رئيس البرلمان العربي على أن ما يحدث في قطاع غزة يمثل حرب إبادة مكتملة الأركان، مع استمرار خرق اتفاقيات وقف إطلاق النار، واستهداف المدنيين، وفرض حصار وتجويع قسري يخالف القانون الدولي، محملًا كيان الاحتلال المسؤولية الكاملة على استمرار العدوان وفشل أي محاولات لوقف النار.
تحذير من التصعيد الإسرائيلي في الضفة
وحذر اليماحي، من تصعيد كيان الاحتلال في الضفة الغربية، وتحويلها إلى «غزة ثانية» عبر القتل الميداني، وفرض العقاب الجماعي، والتوسع الاستيطاني، وهدم المنازل، وتهجير السكان، مستنكرًا إرهاب المستوطنين المتطرفين وتصعيد اقتحاماتهم للمسجد الأقصى واعتداءاتهم على المدنيين والممتلكات.
وجدد التزام البرلمان العربي بمحاسبة قادة كيان الاحتلال على جرائمهم، ودعم تجميد عضوية كنيست كيان الاحتلال في الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، ووضع المستوطنين المتطرفين على قوائم الإرهاب الدولية، ودعم الاعتراف الكامل بدولة فلسطين وعاصمتهامدينة القدس.
ووجه رئيس البرلمان العربي تحية إجلال وإكبار لأبناء الشعب الفلسطيني على صمودهم الأسطوري في مواجهة العدوان، ومؤكدًا استمرار البرلمان العربي في حشد الدعم السياسي والقانوني والبرلماني للدفاع عن حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني، وضمان استمرار طرح قضيته في وسائل الإعلام الدولية والعربية.
تكاتف عربي لمواجهة انتهاكات إسرائيل
من جانبه، أعرب السفير مهند العكلوك عن شكر وتقدير الرئيس محمود عباس والقيادة الفلسطينية لجهود رئيس البرلمان العربي وأعضاء اللجنة، مشيرًا إلى أن الشعب الفلسطيني يمر بأصعب مراحله التاريخية، وأن التحديات الحالية تتطلب تكاتفًا عربيًا ودوليًا لوقف الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية.
ودعا البرلمان العربي إلى تبني توصيف قانوني واضح لحرب الإبادة الجماعية في قطاع غزة، واعتماد تسمية رسمية للجريمة، وتخصيص يوم لإحياء ذكرى ضحاياها، بما يضمن محاسبة مرتكبيها وإلحاق العقوبات بقادة الاحتلال.
في ختام الاجتماع، أكدت اللجنة أن فلسطين ستظل في صدارة اهتمام البرلمان العربي، واعتمدت عددًا من التوصيات والقرارات المهمة التي سيتم رفعها إلى الجلسة العامة للبرلمان العربي لاعتمادها ضمن التحركات القادمة لدعم القضية الفلسطينية على كافة المستويات السياسية والقانونية والإعلامية والدبلوماسية.
The Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament held its second meeting today (Wednesday) for the second session of the fourth legislative term, as part of its follow-up on the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, under the presidency of Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Mahe, the President of the Arab Parliament, and in the presence of Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Arab League.
The President of the Arab Parliament affirmed that support for the Palestinian cause remains an absolute priority for the Arab Parliament, and that any attempts to divert attention from the ongoing crimes in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank will not succeed, stressing that Palestine is not a transient file or an issue that can be postponed, but rather it is the compass that directs all political and parliamentary movements of the parliament.
The President of the Arab Parliament emphasized that what is happening in the Gaza Strip represents a complete genocide, with the continued violation of ceasefire agreements, targeting of civilians, and the imposition of a blockade and forced starvation that violates international law, holding the occupying entity fully responsible for the continuation of aggression and the failure of any attempts to cease fire.
Warning of Israeli Escalation in the West Bank
Al-Mahe warned of the occupying entity’s escalation in the West Bank, turning it into a “second Gaza” through field killings, imposing collective punishment, settlement expansion, demolishing homes, and displacing residents, condemning the terrorism of extremist settlers and their escalating incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and their assaults on civilians and properties.
He renewed the Arab Parliament’s commitment to hold the leaders of the occupying entity accountable for their crimes, support the suspension of the membership of the occupying entity’s Knesset in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, place extremist settlers on international terrorism lists, and support the full recognition of the State of Palestine with its capital in Jerusalem.
The President of the Arab Parliament extended his greetings of respect and admiration to the Palestinian people for their legendary steadfastness in the face of aggression, affirming the Arab Parliament’s continued efforts to mobilize political, legal, and parliamentary support to defend the rights of the Palestinian people, and ensure that their cause remains present in international and Arab media.
Arab Solidarity to Confront Israeli Violations
For his part, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk expressed the gratitude and appreciation of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership for the efforts of the President of the Arab Parliament and the committee members, pointing out that the Palestinian people are going through one of the most difficult phases in their history, and that the current challenges require Arab and international solidarity to stop the Israeli violations.
The Arab Parliament called for adopting a clear legal description of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, establishing an official designation for the crime, and dedicating a day to commemorate its victims, ensuring accountability for the perpetrators and imposing penalties on the leaders of the occupation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee confirmed that Palestine will remain at the forefront of the Arab Parliament’s concerns, and adopted a number of important recommendations and decisions that will be submitted to the general session of the Arab Parliament for approval as part of upcoming efforts to support the Palestinian cause on all political, legal, media, and diplomatic levels.
