شكل محافظ شبوة رئيس اللجنة الأمنية بالمحافظة عوض بن الوزير، اليوم (الأربعاء)، لجنة للتحقيق في الأحداث التي شهدها ديوان المحافظة بمدينة عتق، التي أسفرت مقتل خمسة أشخاص بينهم جنود وإصابة أكثر من 24 آخرين، بنيران عناصر تابعة للفار عيدروس الزبيدي.
وأسند الوزير رئاسة اللجنة إلى وكيل المحافظة أحمد صالح الدغاري، وعضوية عدد من القيادات الأمنية والعسكرية وممثلين عن أسر الضحايا، مشدداً على ضرورة أن تباشر اللجنة أعمالها بشكل عاجل، وتجري تحقيقاً شاملاً لتحديد المسؤوليات القانونية، وحصر الأضرار التي لحقت بالممتلكات العامة والخاصة جراء الأحداث.
الالتزام بالحياد
وأكد المحافظ ضرورة التزام اللجنة بالحياد والمهنية في تقصي الحقائق، وجمع الأدلة وفق الإجراءات القانونية النافذة، ورفع نتائج التحقيق والتوصيات، تمهيداً لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحق من يثبت تورطه، بما يحفظ الأمن والاستقرار في المحافظة.
وكانت عناصر مسلحة من أنصار المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي المنحلّ قد تجمعت في مدينة عتق، عاصمة محافظة شبوة، وهاجمت مركز المحافظة بالقنابل والأسلحة، ما أدى إلى مقتل عدد من الجنود وعدد من المدنيين، إضافة إلى إصابة عدد آخر من الجنود بينهم مرافقو وكيل المحافظة عبدربه هشلة الذي انفجرت قنبلة في مكتبه بعد رميها من قبل أنصار الفار عيدروس الزبيدي إلى داخل المكتب.
وأدانت اللجنة الأمنية في شبوة الاعتداء المسلح الذي نفذته عناصر مندسة ضد رجال الأمن والعسكريين أثناء محاولتهم اقتحام ديوان المحافظة، معربة عن بالغ استنكارها لهذا الانحراف الخطير عن دعوات السلمية وخروج واضح عن النظام والقانون.
رفض العنف والفوضى
وأكدت اللجنة احترامها الكامل لحق التظاهر السلمي المكفول قانوناً، مشددة على عدم السماح بأي أعمال تهدد الأمن أو تهدد السكنية العامة واستقرار المحافظة.
وحملت اللجنة المسؤولية كاملة كل من خالف القانون ولجأ إلى العنف المسلح، معلنة بدء إجراءات تحقيق قانونية لضمان محاسبة المتورطين في التحريض أو تنفيذ الاعتداء.
ودعت اللجنة الأمنية جميع المواطنين إلى التحلي بالوعي والمسؤولية الوطنية، وعدم الانجرار وراء الدعوات التحريضية التي تهدف إلى زعزعة الأمن والفوضى في شبوة، مؤكدة التزامها بواجبها الوطني في حفظ الأمن والاستقرار، ووفاءها بمسؤوليتها تجاه الضحايا والمصابين جراء الحادثة، واتخاذ التدابير الرادعة كافة بحق المعتدين.
The Governor of Shabwa, Head of the Security Committee in the governorate, Awad bin al-Wazir, today (Wednesday) formed a committee to investigate the events that took place at the governorate’s headquarters in the city of Ataq, which resulted in the death of five people, including soldiers, and the injury of more than 24 others, due to gunfire from elements affiliated with the fugitive Aidarus al-Zubaidi.
The governor assigned the chairmanship of the committee to the deputy governor, Ahmed Saleh al-Daghari, along with several security and military leaders and representatives of the victims’ families, emphasizing the need for the committee to begin its work urgently and conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine legal responsibilities and assess the damages incurred to public and private properties as a result of the events.
Commitment to Neutrality
The governor stressed the importance of the committee’s commitment to neutrality and professionalism in fact-finding, gathering evidence in accordance with applicable legal procedures, and submitting the results of the investigation and recommendations, in preparation for taking legal action against those proven to be involved, in order to maintain security and stability in the governorate.
Armed elements from the dissolved Southern Transitional Council had gathered in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, and attacked the governorate’s center with bombs and weapons, resulting in the deaths of several soldiers and a number of civilians, in addition to injuring several other soldiers, including the escorts of the deputy governor, Abdul Rabah Hashlah, whose office was hit by a bomb thrown by supporters of the fugitive Aidarus al-Zubaidi.
The Security Committee in Shabwa condemned the armed attack carried out by infiltrated elements against security personnel and military members while they were attempting to storm the governorate’s headquarters, expressing its strong denunciation of this serious deviation from calls for peacefulness and a clear violation of law and order.
Rejection of Violence and Chaos
The committee affirmed its full respect for the right to peaceful protest guaranteed by law, stressing that it would not allow any actions that threaten security or public safety and stability in the governorate.
The committee held fully responsible anyone who violated the law and resorted to armed violence, announcing the initiation of legal investigation procedures to ensure accountability for those involved in incitement or execution of the attack.
The Security Committee called on all citizens to embody awareness and national responsibility, and not to be drawn into incitement calls aimed at destabilizing security and causing chaos in Shabwa, reaffirming its commitment to its national duty to preserve security and stability, and its responsibility towards the victims and the injured as a result of the incident, and to take all necessary deterrent measures against the aggressors.
