The discussion about Abha’s loss to Al-Qadisiyah 2-1 is no longer just a setback in the match held at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, as part of the ninth round of the Saudi Professional League “Roshan League,” but has become a conversation about a crisis for the entire team since the beginning of the Roshan League.
The Asian lecturer Abdullah Al-Mani clarified in his statement to “Okaz,” saying: What Abha has presented so far is not suitable for a team that wants to compete. Effort alone on the field is not enough; we need a clear identity and a strong character, especially against teams that have superior capabilities like Al-Qadisiyah.
He added: “The numbers are very concerning… After 9 rounds, 6 losses, 2 draws, and only 2 points in the team’s tally, this raises questions about preparation, cohesion, and technical choices. If the signings have not added anything and the technical solutions have not changed anything, then a comprehensive review has become a legitimate demand from the fans.”
Al-Mani directed a sharp message to the club’s management: “How long will the leader of the south remain at the bottom of the standings? Abha is not just a number in the league table; it is the face of the region and a large fan base waiting for a team that fights with a clear project, not a team that causes its fans anxiety every round.”
