تفقّد أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة رئيس مجلس هيئة تطوير المنطقة رئيس اللجنة الدائمة للحج والعمرة بإمارة المنطقة الأمير سلمان بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز، يرافقه نائب أمير المنطقة الأمير سعود بن نهار بن سعود بن عبدالعزيز، ميقات ذي الحليفة، بحضور أمين المنطقة الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة تطوير المنطقة المهندس فهد بن محمد البليهشي.
واطّلع أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة خلال الجولة على أعمال ومشروعات التطوير والتأهيل التي يشهدها الميقات؛ بهدف تعزيز منظومة الخدمات المقدّمة لضيوف الرحمن، ورفع جودة التجربة الإيمانية للزوار، بما يواكب مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 وبرنامج خدمة ضيوف الرحمن، وتشمل رفع الطاقة الاستيعابية للمسجد من 5 آلاف مصلٍ إلى أكثر من 15 ألف مصلٍ.
وأكد أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة أهمية مسجد الميقات، بوصفه أحد أبرز المواقيت المكانية التي يقصدها ملايين الحجاج والمعتمرين والزوار على مدار العام، مشدداً على ضرورة مواصلة رفع كفاءة الخدمات، وتعزيز التكامل بين الجهات ذات العلاقة، بما يسهم في تحسين جودة الخدمات المقدّمة لضيوف الرحمن في أولى محطات مناسك الحج.
واستمع الأمير سلمان بن سلطان إلى شرح حول تطوير منظومة الخدمات داخل المسجد، التي شملت تجديد السجاد بالكامل في منطقة المصلى وفق الهوية البصرية للمسجد، على مساحة تتجاوز 2400 متر مربع، إلى جانب تطوير الأنظمة الصوتية باستخدام اللواقط الحديثة ومنظومة المزج الصوتي الرقمي عبر وحدة تحكم متصلة بأكثر من 196 سماعة داخلية وخارجية.
كما اطّلع على مشروع تطوير كورنيش وادي العقيق المجاور لمسجد الميقات، الذي صُمم وفق معالجة هندسية تحقق امتداداً بصرياً متناغماً مع عمارة المسجد، باستخدام عناصر معمارية مستوحاة من هويته، بما يسهم في إيجاد وجهة حضارية ترتبط بمكونات المسار التاريخي في المدينة المنورة.
وشاهد أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة مشروع أنسنة الساحات والمرافق على مساحة تتجاوز 50 ألف متر مربع، تشمل الساحات الشرقية والشمالية والجنوبية، والمزوّدة بمنظومة مراقبة تضم أكثر من 300 كاميرا رقمية تدعم كفاءة التشغيل، إلى جانب تهيئة 24 ممراً ومحوراً رئيساً وفرعياً لتسهيل الحركة والتنقل داخل الميقات.
كما تضم المنطقة أكثر من 48 متجراً متنوعاً تشمل المقاهي والمطاعم ومتاجر المستلزمات والخدمات المساندة، بما يسهم في تلبية احتياجات الزوار ورفع جودة تجربتهم.

The Emir of the Medina region, the Chairman of the Development Authority of the region, and the Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah at the Emirate of the region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, accompanied by the Deputy Emir of the region, Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, inspected the Miqat of Dhul-Hulaifah, in the presence of the Secretary of the region and the CEO of the Development Authority of the region, Engineer Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Bulayshi.
During the tour, the Emir of the Medina region was briefed on the development and rehabilitation projects taking place at the Miqat, aimed at enhancing the system of services provided to the guests of Allah, and improving the quality of the spiritual experience for visitors, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Guests of Allah Service Program. This includes increasing the mosque’s capacity from 5,000 worshippers to more than 15,000 worshippers.
The Emir of the Medina region emphasized the importance of the Miqat mosque, as it is one of the most prominent locations that millions of pilgrims and visitors head to throughout the year, stressing the need to continue improving service efficiency and enhancing integration among relevant authorities, which contributes to improving the quality of services provided to the guests of Allah at the first station of the Hajj rituals.
Prince Salman bin Sultan listened to an explanation about the development of the service system inside the mosque, which included the complete renewal of the carpets in the prayer area according to the visual identity of the mosque, covering an area of more than 2,400 square meters, in addition to upgrading the audio systems using modern microphones and a digital audio mixing system via a control unit connected to more than 196 internal and external speakers.
He also reviewed the project to develop the Corniche of Wadi Al-Aqiq adjacent to the Miqat mosque, which was designed with an engineering treatment that achieves a visual extension harmonious with the mosque’s architecture, using architectural elements inspired by its identity, contributing to creating a cultural destination linked to the components of the historical path in Medina.
The Emir of the Medina region observed the project for humanizing the squares and facilities over an area exceeding 50,000 square meters, including the eastern, northern, and southern squares, equipped with a monitoring system comprising more than 300 digital cameras that support operational efficiency, in addition to preparing 24 main and secondary corridors to facilitate movement and transportation within the Miqat.
The area also includes more than 48 diverse shops, including cafes, restaurants, and stores for supplies and supporting services, which contributes to meeting the needs of visitors and enhancing the quality of their experience.
He listened to a brief explanation about the areas of development and rehabilitation in the public site, which come as part of the tasks of the Medina Development Authority in supervising the Miqat mosque of Dhul-Hulaifah, in partnership with the Guests of Allah Service Program and relevant authorities.
