جرّمت تعديلات مقترحة على أنشطة مراكز الرياضة تسويق المنشطات، ومنعت استخدامها داخل المراكز، والتشديد على حماية المراهقين وأصحاب الاحتياجات الخاصة ومنع الاختلاط.
ومنحت التعديلات التي تقدمت بها وزارة الرياضة مفتشيها صلاحيات واسعة في الرقابة المفاجئة، وفحص السجلات والبيانات، وضبط المخالفات، وتصل عقوبات المراكز المخالفة إلى الإغلاق الجزئي والكلي مع أحقية المشترك في المركز الرياضي فسخ العقد واسترداد رسوم الاشتراك عن المدة المتبقية في حال إخلال المركز بالتزاماته أو عند إغلاق الفرع دون توفر إمكانية نقل المشترك لفرع بديل. ويحق للمشترك استرداد رسومه المسددة في حال تعرضه لإصابة أثناء ممارسته الرياضة على أن تمنعه الإصابة من استئناف نشاطه.
وتلزم التعديلات المراكز الرياضية بحماية من هم أقل من 18 عاماً، وربط قبول اشتراكاتهم بموافقة صريحة من ولي الأمر، مع تخصيص كاميرات على كامل المراكز، والزام العاملين بحسن السير والسلوك.

The amendments put forward by the Ministry of Sports granted its inspectors broad powers for surprise inspections, examination of records and data, and enforcement of violations, with penalties for violating centers reaching partial and total closure. Members of the sports center have the right to terminate their contract and recover subscription fees for the remaining period if the center fails to meet its obligations or if the branch is closed without the possibility of transferring the member to an alternative branch. Members are entitled to a refund of their paid fees if they suffer an injury while participating in sports, provided that the injury prevents them from resuming their activity.
The amendments require sports centers to protect those under 18 years of age, linking the acceptance of their subscriptions to explicit consent from a guardian, with the allocation of cameras throughout the centers, and obligating staff to maintain good conduct and behavior.
