The Union star Steven Pregooin returns to participate with his team in the match against Uzbekistan’s Neftchi next Monday at 4:45 PM, at the Independence Stadium (Fergana), as part of the third round of the AFC Champions League for elite clubs, after recovering from the health issue that caused him to miss the match against Al-Dhariya last Friday, which ended in favor of Al-Ittihad with a score of two goals to none, as part of the eleventh round of the Roshan Saudi Pro League.
The Union team’s delegation departed this afternoon (Saturday) to Uzbekistan to play against Neftchi, and Al-Ittihad will conclude its technical preparations tomorrow (Sunday) with a football drill through which coach Jens Wissing will determine the technical style and finalize the core players for the anticipated match.
Coach Wissing aims for his team to win, collect three points, reach four points, and continue the journey towards securing a qualification spot for the next round in the Asian tournament.
Additionally, coach Wissing will hold a press conference tomorrow (Sunday) alongside one of the Union players to discuss the match against Uzbekistan’s Neftchi.
It is worth noting that Al-Ittihad is currently in eleventh place with one point in the “West” group of the AFC Champions League for elite clubs.
