أدان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، بأشد العبارات والاستنكار للاعتداء الحوثي الإرهابي على عدد من مناطق المملكة العربية السعودية، وما نجم عن اعتراض صاروخين باليستيين وسقوط أجزاء منهما في وادي المغمس بمكة المكرمة، وشظايا الاعتراض في مواقع بمحافظات جدة والطائف ورابغ.
وشدد على أن هذا الاعتداء الآثم لميليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية، يجسد استهتارًا صارخًا بأرواح المدنيين وأمنهم، وتصعيدًا إجراميًا يهدد أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، مؤكدًا أن تعريض مكة المكرمة لمخاطر هذه الاعتداءات يمثل تجاوزًا بالغ الخطورة لحرمة الأماكن المقدسة واستفزازًا لمشاعر المسلمين في أنحاء العالم، ولا يمكن تبريره أو التساهل معه تحت أي ذريعة.
وأكد معاليه أن أمن المملكة العربية السعودية جزء لا يتجزأ من أمن دول مجلس التعاون، وأن دول المجلس تقف صفًا واحدًا إلى جانب المملكة في مواجهة هذه الاعتداءات، وتساند كل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لحماية أراضيها وصون أمن مواطنيها والمقيمين على أرضها.
وأشاد معاليه بيقظة وكفاءة الدفاعات الجوية السعودية في اعتراض الاعتداءات الحوثية الإرهابية والتصدي لها، داعيًا المجتمع الدولي إلى اتخاذ موقف حازم وإجراءات فاعلة تضع حدًا لهذه الاعتداءات الآثمة.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi terrorist attack on several areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the interception of two ballistic missiles, parts of which fell in the Wadi Al-Mughmas in Makkah, along with debris from the interception landing in locations in the provinces of Jeddah, Taif, and Rabigh.
He emphasized that this heinous attack by the Houthi terrorist militia represents a blatant disregard for the lives and security of civilians, and a criminal escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region. He affirmed that exposing Makkah to the dangers of such attacks constitutes a grave violation of the sanctity of holy places and an affront to the feelings of Muslims around the world, which cannot be justified or tolerated under any pretext.
His Excellency confirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC countries, and that the member states stand united alongside the Kingdom in confronting these attacks, supporting all measures it takes to protect its territory and safeguard the security of its citizens and residents.
He praised the vigilance and efficiency of the Saudi air defenses in intercepting and confronting the Houthi terrorist attacks, calling on the international community to take a firm stance and effective measures to put an end to these heinous attacks.
