أكد وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريف أن المستثمرين الروس يعدون من أكثر المستثمرين اهتماماً بقطاع التعدين في المملكة، كاشفاً تلقي عدد من الطلبات الاستثمارية من شركات روسية لدخول القطاع.
وأضاف الخريف على هامش منتدى سان بطرسبرغ الاقتصادي الدولي، أن المملكة تعمل على استقطاب شركات روسية تمتلك خبرات طويلة في مجالات التعدين، خصوصاً في معادن مثل التيتانيوم والذهب، وفقاً لـ«أرقام».
وذكر أن روسيا تمتلك تقنيات متقدمة في معالجة المعادن الحرجة والنادرة، وهي تقنيات تحرص المملكة على توطينها والاستفادة منها، لافتاً إلى أن اهتمام الشركات الروسية يشمل مختلف حلقات سلسلة القيمة في قطاع التعدين، بدءاً من أعمال الاستكشاف والتعدين وصولاً إلى الصناعات التحويلية اللاحقة.
وأشار إلى عقد لقاء مع هيئة المساحة الجيولوجية الروسية في إطار التعاون القائم مع هيئة المساحة الجيولوجية السعودية للاستفادة من الخبرات الروسية في مجال الاستكشاف.
وحول نتائج الزيارة، قال الخريف إن المنتدى شهد توقيع أكثر من 14 اتفاقية، معظمها بين شركات من القطاع الخاص، مؤكداً أن هذا النوع من الاتفاقيات يحظى بأهمية كبيرة لدوره في تعزيز الاستثمارات والشراكات الاقتصادية بين البلدين.
الاتفاقيات الحكومية
ولفت إلى توقيع عدد من الاتفاقيات على مستوى الجهات الحكومية، من بينها اتفاقيات بين الهيئة السعودية للمدن الصناعية ومناطق التقنية «مدن» وجهات روسية معنية بدعم المنشآت الصغيرة والناشئة، إضافة إلى اتفاقية مع هيئة الغذاء والدواء، متوقعاً أن تسهم هذه الاتفاقيات في تعميق العلاقات الاقتصادية وخلق فرص جديدة لرواد الأعمال في البلدين.
وقال: «إن مشاركة المملكة في منتدى سانت بطرسبرغ الاقتصادي الدولي هذا العام تأتي في ظل مرور 100 عام على العلاقات الدبلوماسية السعودية الروسية، إضافة إلى اختيار المملكة ضيف شرف للمنتدى».
وأضاف أن مشاركة وفد سعودي رفيع المستوى، يضم عدداً من الوزراء وممثلي القطاع الخاص، تعكس أهمية الشراكة بين البلدين وحجم الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة، إذ إن هناك اهتماماً كبيراً من الجانب الروسي بالسوق السعودية وفهماً عميقاً لمستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, confirmed that Russian investors are among the most interested investors in the mining sector in the Kingdom, revealing that a number of investment requests have been received from Russian companies to enter the sector.
Al-Khorayef added on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that the Kingdom is working to attract Russian companies with extensive experience in mining, particularly in minerals such as titanium and gold, according to “Argaam”.
He mentioned that Russia possesses advanced technologies in the processing of critical and rare minerals, which the Kingdom is keen to localize and benefit from, noting that the interest of Russian companies includes various segments of the value chain in the mining sector, starting from exploration and mining activities to subsequent manufacturing industries.
He pointed out that a meeting was held with the Russian Geological Survey as part of the ongoing cooperation with the Saudi Geological Survey to benefit from Russian expertise in the field of exploration.
Regarding the results of the visit, Al-Khorayef stated that the forum witnessed the signing of more than 14 agreements, most of which were between private sector companies, emphasizing that this type of agreement is of great importance for its role in enhancing investments and economic partnerships between the two countries.
Government Agreements
He noted the signing of several agreements at the governmental level, including agreements between the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “MODON” and relevant Russian entities concerned with supporting small and emerging enterprises, in addition to an agreement with the Food and Drug Authority, expecting that these agreements will contribute to deepening economic relations and creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs in both countries.
He said: “The participation of the Kingdom in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this year comes on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Saudi-Russian diplomatic relations, in addition to the Kingdom being chosen as the guest of honor for the forum.”
He added that the participation of a high-level Saudi delegation, which includes several ministers and representatives of the private sector, reflects the importance of the partnership between the two countries and the magnitude of the available investment opportunities, as there is significant interest from the Russian side in the Saudi market and a deep understanding of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
