غيّب الموت الفنانة الكويتية المعتزلة رجاء محمد عن عمر ناهز 64 عامًا، بعد مسيرة فنية تركت خلالها بصمة في عدد من الأعمال المسرحية والتلفزيونية التي ارتبطت بذاكرة الجمهور الكويتي.
وبدأت الراحلة مشوارها الفني أواخر سبعينيات القرن الماضي، إذ ظهرت للمرة الأولى عام 1978 من خلال مسرحية الأطفال (السندباد البحري)، قبل أن تشارك في أعمال متنوعة من بينها (قناديل الأمل) و(البساط السحري) و(ثلاثية فهد العسكر).
كما سجلت حضورًا في عدد من الأعمال الفنية، منها (سلامتك) و(حياتنا) و(غدًا أمي قالت لي) و(الزرزور) و(طرزان) و(أحلام صغيرة)، إلى جانب مشاركتها في المسلسل الكويتي الشهير (خالتي قماشة)، الذي يعد من أبرز الأعمال التلفزيونية الخليجية.
ورغم بدايتها المبكرة، لم يدم مشوارها الفني طويلًا، إذ اختتمت رحلتها مع الفن عام 1984 عبر أوبريت (سندريلا)، قبل أن تبتعد عن الأضواء نهائيًا، مفضلة حياة هادئة بعيدًا عن الوسط الفني.
The Kuwaiti artist Rajaa Mohammed, who had retired, passed away at the age of 64, after a career that left a mark in several theatrical and television works that are linked to the memory of the Kuwaiti audience.
The late artist began her artistic journey in the late 1970s, as she first appeared in 1978 through the children’s play (Sinbad the Sailor), before participating in various works including (Lanterns of Hope), (The Magic Carpet), and (The Trilogy of Fahd Al-Azkar).
She also made her presence felt in several artistic works, including (Salamatak), (Hayatna), (Tomorrow My Mother Told Me), (Al-Zarzour), (Tarzan), and (Small Dreams), in addition to her participation in the famous Kuwaiti series (Khalti Qumasha), which is considered one of the most prominent Gulf television works.
Despite her early start, her artistic journey did not last long, as she concluded her journey with art in 1984 through the operetta (Cinderella), before completely stepping away from the spotlight, preferring a quiet life away from the artistic scene.
