تسبب رحيل المدرب الوطني سعد الشهري عن تدريب الفريق الكروي الأول بنادي الاتفاق في حالة من الجدل والانقسام بين صفوف الاتفاقيين، ما بين تيار يرى ضرورة استمراره، وآخر يفضل رحيله قبل انطلاق الموسم الجديد، والاستعانة بطاقم فني جديد للإشراف على الفريق الأول.
وكانت إدارة نادي الاتفاق برئاسة سامر المسحل قد وقعت مع سعد الشهري بعد إقالة المدرب الإنجليزي ستيفن جيرارد. وقدم الشهري مستويات جيدة نوعاً ما مع الاتفاق في ظل الظروف التي كان يعاني منها النادي خصوصاً من جانب تأخير الرواتب، التي تحدث عنها الشهري عدة مرات حتى وصل الحال إلى تأخير الرواتب لمدة 6 أشهر.
وأعلن نادي الاتفاق أمس (الأحد) رحيل المدرب سعد الشهري من القيادة الفنية للفريق بشكل رسمي. ونشر نادي الاتفاق عبر حسابه على منصة «كس»: «شكراً لك سعد الشهري على الفترة الماضية التي قضيتها مع الفريق».
وأنهى فريق الاتفاق الموسم الماضي في المركز السابع بجدول ترتيب دوري روشن السعودي برصيد 50 نقطة تحت قيادة الشهري، إذ لعب 34 مباراة، فاز في 14، وتعادل في 8، وخسر 12 مباراة.

Last season, Al-Ettifaq finished in seventh place in the Roshan Saudi League standings with 50 points under Al-Shahrani’s leadership, having played 34 matches, winning 14, drawing 8, and losing 12 matches.
