أعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية أن تفشي فايروس إيبولا في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية لا يزال يتوسع، مع تسجيل 676 حالة إصابة مؤكدة، بينها 136 وفاة.
وأوضحت أن الإصابات رصدت في 34 منطقة صحية في إيتوري وكيفو الشمالية وكيفو الجنوبية، مشيرة إلى أن ارتفاع تنقل وحركة السكان وضعف النظام الصحي واستمرار انعدام الأمن الغذائي تعقد جهود الاستجابة.
وأضافت المنظمة أنها تواصل دعم الحكومة في مجالات الترصد وتتبع المخالطين وتعزيز القدرات المخبرية والإدارة السريرية والتواصل بشأن المخاطر، فيما لا يزال حجم التفشي غير واضح.
The World Health Organization has announced that the Ebola virus outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is still expanding, with 676 confirmed cases, including 136 deaths.
It clarified that the infections have been reported in 34 health zones in Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu, noting that increased population movement, a weakened health system, and ongoing food insecurity complicate response efforts.
The organization added that it continues to support the government in areas such as surveillance, contact tracing, strengthening laboratory capacities, clinical management, and risk communication, while the scale of the outbreak remains unclear.
