أكّد الفنان المصري بيومي فؤاد على المكانة الخاصة التي يحتلها المسرح في قلبه، واصفاً إياه بأنه الفن الحقيقي الذي يمنح الممثل تقديراً فورياً ومباشراً من الجمهور.
وفي تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ»، تطرق فؤاد إلى رؤيته لمنصات التواصل الاجتماعي، والتطور الثقافي المستمر في السعودية، إضافة إلى تصنيفه ممثلاً كوميدياً.
وفي إجابة عن تساؤل حول الفن الأقرب إليه بين المسرح والسينما والتلفزيون، قال فؤاد: «بدايتي كانت من المسرح، وأنا أعشق هذا الفن جداً؛ لأنه الفن الوحيد الذي تأخذ فيه حقك وتلمس نجاحك وأنت واقف على خشبة المسرح دون انتظار».
وأضاف موضحاً، الفارق بين الأدوات الفنية: «في السينما، عليك الانتظار لمعرفة الإيرادات وحجم الإقبال على شباك التذاكر، وفي التلفزيون تنتظر نسب المشاهدة وردود الأفعال، أما المسرح فمكافأته فورية؛ تسمع تصفيق الجمهور وضحكاتهم وتتفاعل معهم في اللحظة نفسها، ولذلك يظل المسرح هو أبو الفنون وأصلها».
وأشاد الفنان بيومي فؤاد بالحراك الثقافي الكبير الذي تشهده المملكة العربية السعودية، لافتاً إلى التطور السنوي الملحوظ في جودة العروض المسرحية. وقال: «المسرحيات التي تُعرض هنا اليوم، سواء كانت مسرحيات سعودية أو كويتية، تشهد تطوراً كبيراً يبرز بوضوح كل عام».
وعن موقفه من وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وصف فؤاد نفسه بأنه ينتمي إلى «المدرسة القديمة»، ويفضل قراءة الصحف الورقية على متابعة العالم الرقمي. وتابع: «لست من ركاب السوشال ميديا بكثرة، رغم إيماني الشديد بأهميتها ووجود جمهورها العريض».
The Egyptian artist Bayoumi Fouad confirmed the special place that theater holds in his heart, describing it as the true art that gives the actor immediate and direct appreciation from the audience.
In a special statement to “Okaz,” Fouad touched upon his vision of social media platforms, the ongoing cultural development in Saudi Arabia, in addition to classifying himself as a comedic actor.
In response to a question about which art form is closest to him between theater, cinema, and television, Fouad said: “My beginning was in theater, and I love this art very much; it is the only art where you receive your due and feel your success while standing on stage without waiting.”
He added, explaining the difference between artistic tools: “In cinema, you have to wait to know the revenues and the level of audience turnout at the box office, and in television, you wait for the viewership ratings and reactions, but in theater, the reward is immediate; you hear the audience’s applause and laughter and interact with them in the very moment, which is why theater remains the father of the arts and its origin.”
Bayoumi Fouad praised the significant cultural movement taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting the noticeable annual improvement in the quality of theatrical performances. He said: “The plays being presented here today, whether they are Saudi or Kuwaiti, show a significant development that clearly stands out every year.”
Regarding his stance on social media, Fouad described himself as belonging to the “old school,” preferring to read printed newspapers over following the digital world. He continued: “I am not one to engage heavily in social media, despite my strong belief in its importance and the existence of its wide audience.”
