حذرت فرق الإطفاء السكان في مدينة «كريفيلد» الألمانية من مخاطر صحية محتملة، عقب حادث شاحنة كانت تنقل مواد خطرة، ومن المقرر إغلاق بعض المدارس ودور الحضانة طوال اليوم (الجمعة). وتوقفت حركة القطارات جزئياً في المنطقة الواقعة غرب ولاية شمال الراين-ويستفاليا.
وانقلبت شاحنة محمّلة بحمض النيتريك -وهي مادة كاوية بدرجة عالية- خلال الليل على الطريق السريع رقم 57، وبدأ الحمض في التسرب من الشاحنة، حسبما ذكر متحدث باسم فرق الإطفاء.
وأضاف المتحدث: «إن سائق الشاحنة أصيب في الحادث، ويخضع للعلاج في المستشفى».
وحذرت السلطات عبر تطبيق الإنذار «نينا» من وجود «خطر بالغ»، وهو أعلى درجات التحذير، وجرى فرض طوق أمني حول موقع الحادث في نطاق يبلغ 1000 متر.
Fire crews have warned residents in the German city of “Krefeld” about potential health risks following an incident involving a truck carrying hazardous materials, and some schools and daycare centers are set to be closed for the entire day (Friday). Train services have been partially suspended in the area located west of North Rhine-Westphalia.
A truck loaded with nitric acid – a highly corrosive substance – overturned overnight on the A57 highway, and the acid began to leak from the truck, according to a spokesperson for the fire crews.
The spokesperson added: “The truck driver was injured in the incident and is receiving treatment in the hospital.”
Authorities have warned via the “Nina” alert app of a “serious danger,” which is the highest level of warning, and a security cordon has been imposed around the accident site with a radius of 1000 meters.
