علمت «عكاظ» أن الجهات الحكومية تعتزم خلال الفترة القادمة توجيه الجهات التابعة لها في القطاعين الخاص وغير الربحي إلى تكثيف إقامة المؤتمرات والمنتديات والملتقيات وورش العمل والفعاليات المختلفة داخل المملكة، والاستفادة من المنتجعات والفنادق والمنشآت السياحية المحلية لاستضافة تلك الأنشطة.
ويأتي هذا التوجّه في إطار تعزيز الحركة السياحية ودعم الوجهات المحلية، بما يسهم في رفع معدلات الإشغال وتنشيط الاقتصاد السياحي في مختلف المناطق.
مقترح لاستضافة منتديات الاستثمار السنوية
وبحسب المعلومات، فإن هذه الخطوة جاءت عقب مقترح تقدّم به وزير السياحة، دعا فيه إلى استضافة منتديات الاستثمار السنوية في المنتجعات السياحية بالمملكة، بما يعزز من حضور الوجهات المحلية كمراكز لاستضافة الفعاليات الاقتصادية والاستثمارية الكبرى.
362 فعالية خلال الربع الأول
وشهد الربع الأول من العام الحالي نشاطاً ملحوظاً في قطاع الفعاليات، إذ جرى تنظيم 362 فعالية في مختلف مناطق المملكة، تنوعت بين المعارض التجارية، والمنتديات، والمؤتمرات، والملتقيات، والندوات، والمعارض التعريفية بالمنتجات، إضافة إلى معارض السلع الاستهلاكية.
ويُتوقع أن يسهم التوسع في استضافة الفعاليات داخل المنتجعات والفنادق السياحية في تعزيز مكانة المملكة كوجهة رائدة لسياحة الأعمال والمؤتمرات، بالتزامن مع النمو المتسارع الذي يشهده القطاع السياحي ضمن مستهدفات رؤية 2030.
“Okaz” learned that government agencies intend in the coming period to direct their affiliated entities in the private and non-profit sectors to intensify the organization of conferences, forums, meetings, workshops, and various events within the Kingdom, and to take advantage of local resorts, hotels, and tourist facilities to host these activities.
This direction comes as part of enhancing tourism movement and supporting local destinations, which contributes to increasing occupancy rates and stimulating the tourism economy in various regions.
Proposal to Host Annual Investment Forums
According to information, this step followed a proposal submitted by the Minister of Tourism, who called for hosting annual investment forums at the Kingdom’s tourist resorts, enhancing the presence of local destinations as centers for hosting major economic and investment events.
362 Events in the First Quarter
The first quarter of this year witnessed a notable activity in the events sector, with 362 events organized in various regions of the Kingdom, ranging from trade fairs, forums, conferences, meetings, seminars, and exhibitions showcasing products, in addition to consumer goods exhibitions.
It is expected that the expansion in hosting events within tourist resorts and hotels will enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading destination for business tourism and conferences, coinciding with the rapid growth witnessed in the tourism sector as part of the objectives of Vision 2030.
