أعرب وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو، اليوم (الخميس)، عن «استياء» الولايات المتحدة والحلفاء في الناتو، مما تقوم به إيران، قائلاً: «من الواضح أننا نتعامل مع نظام متصدع في إيران».
واعتبر أن النظام الإيراني سيجعل الاتفاق مع الولايات المتحدة «غير ممكن»، معلناً رفض بلاده لنظام تحصيل الرسوم الذي فرضته طهران في مضيق هرمز.
وأشار روبيو إلى إن مسؤولين باكستانيين سيسافرون إلى إيران «الليلة»، في إشارة إلى قائد الجيش الباكستاني عاصم منير، مضيفاً: «هناك مؤشرات جيدة بشأن إيران وسنرى ما سيحدث».
وأوضح أن ترمب يفضل اتفاقاً مع إيران لكن الخيار العسكري على الطاولة.
وحول الموقف من حلف شمال الأطلسي (الناتو)، قال روبيو: غاضبون جداً ومحبطون تجاه موقف الناتو بشأن إيران، مضيفاً: صواريخ إيران تهدد أوروبا وكان على الناتو الانضمام لحملتنا.
وأشار إلى أن الناتو يرفض القيام بأي شيء تطلبه أمريكا، مبيناً أن الرئيس يشعر بخيبة أمل كبيرة من عدم وقوف الناتو إلى جانب أمريكا.
وكانت وسائل إعلام إيرانية قد قالت إن منير عاصم سيزور طهران، لـ«تقريب المسافات والمساعدة في التوصل إلى إعلان تفاهم رسمي بين إيران والولايات المتحدة».
وأعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم)، اليوم، إجبار 94 سفينة تجارية على تغيير مسارها وتعطيل 4 منذ بدء الحصار البحري على إيران، موضحة أنها تستهدف منع تدفق التجارة إلى وخارج الموانئ الإيرانية.
في المقابل، ذكر التلفزيون الإيراني أن 31 سفينة عبرت مضيق هرمز بتنسيق من الحرس الثوري خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed today (Thursday) the “discontent” of the United States and NATO allies regarding Iran’s actions, stating: “It is clear that we are dealing with a fractured regime in Iran.”
He considered that the Iranian regime will make an agreement with the United States “impossible,” announcing his country’s rejection of the toll system imposed by Tehran in the Strait of Hormuz.
Rubio noted that Pakistani officials will travel to Iran “tonight,” referring to the Pakistani army chief Asim Munir, adding: “There are good indicators regarding Iran, and we will see what happens.”
He clarified that Trump prefers an agreement with Iran, but the military option is on the table.
Regarding NATO’s position, Rubio said: “We are very angry and frustrated with NATO’s stance on Iran,” adding: “Iran’s missiles threaten Europe, and NATO should have joined our campaign.”
He pointed out that NATO refuses to do anything the U.S. requests, indicating that the president feels a great disappointment over NATO not standing by America.
Iranian media had reported that Munir Asim will visit Tehran to “bridge the gaps and help reach a formal understanding announcement between Iran and the United States.”
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today that it has forced 94 commercial ships to change their course and disrupted 4 since the start of the maritime blockade on Iran, clarifying that it aims to prevent the flow of trade to and from Iranian ports.
In contrast, Iranian television reported that 31 ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz with coordination from the Revolutionary Guard in the past 24 hours.
