أعربت روسيا عن قلقها البالغ إزاء تطورات الأوضاع في لبنان، محذرة من أن التصعيد العسكري الإسرائيلي ضد حزب الله قد دفع البلاد إلى حافة كارثة إنسانية، وفق ما أعلنه نائب وزير الخارجية الروسي غيورغي بوريسينكو.
وقال بوريسينكو، في كلمته خلال المنتدى العلمي والخبرائي الدولي السادس «روسيا – الشرق الأوسط»، إن موسكو تتابع باهتمام تطورات الوضع في الشرق الأوسط، مشيراً إلى أن عمليات الجيش الإسرائيلي ضد حزب الله «تجاوزت بكثير حدود الرد المناسب».
وأضاف المسؤول الروسي أن هذا التجاوز أدى إلى «دوامة خطيرة جديدة من المواجهة المسلحة»، محذراً من تداعياتها الإنسانية الوخيمة على لبنان الذي يعاني أصلاً من أزمات اقتصادية وسياسية مزمنة.
وشدد بوريسينكو على أن روسيا تأمل في أن يتحلى اللبنانيون بحكمتهم التقليدية، وألا يسمحوا للأطراف الخارجية بإذكاء التناقضات الداخلية أو جر البلاد إلى صراع أهلي جديد.
وجدد التأكيد على موقف موسكو الثابت بأن اللبنانيين هم وحدهم من يجب أن يقرروا مصيرهم وكبريات قضاياهم الوطنية دون أي تدخل خارجي.
وأكد نائب الوزير الروسي أن موسكو تدعم تطلعات كل من اللبنانيين والإسرائيليين نحو السلام، شريطة أن تكون هذه التطلعات صادقة، غير أنه أعرب عن أسفه لاستمرار التقارير الواردة من منطقة النزاع، التي توثق انتهاكات متكررة لوقف إطلاق النار، «يرتكبها بشكل أساسي الجانب الإسرائيلي».
يأتي هذا الموقف الروسي في سياق توتر مستمر على الحدود اللبنانية-الإسرائيلية، حيث اندلعت مواجهات مكثفة بين إسرائيل وحزب الله منذ أكتوبر 2023، أسفرت عن آلاف القتلى والجرحى ونزوح عشرات الآلاف من السكان على الجانبين.
ورغم إعلان وقف إطلاق نار في نوفمبر 2024، ما زالت الخروقات الأمنية والعسكرية تتكرر بين الحين والآخر، ما يهدد بانهيار الهدنة الهشة.
Russia has expressed its deep concern over the developments in Lebanon, warning that the Israeli military escalation against Hezbollah has pushed the country to the brink of a humanitarian disaster, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko.
In his speech during the sixth international scientific and expert forum “Russia – the Middle East,” Borisenko stated that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East, noting that the Israeli army’s operations against Hezbollah “have far exceeded the limits of an appropriate response.”
He added that this overreach has led to “a dangerous new spiral of armed confrontation,” warning of its dire humanitarian consequences for Lebanon, which is already suffering from chronic economic and political crises.
Borisenko emphasized that Russia hopes the Lebanese will exercise their traditional wisdom and not allow external parties to exacerbate internal contradictions or drag the country into a new civil conflict.
He reiterated Moscow’s firm position that the Lebanese alone should decide their fate and major national issues without any foreign interference.
The Russian Deputy Minister confirmed that Moscow supports the aspirations of both the Lebanese and Israelis for peace, provided that these aspirations are genuine. However, he expressed regret over the continued reports from the conflict area documenting repeated violations of the ceasefire, “primarily committed by the Israeli side.”
This Russian stance comes amid ongoing tension along the Lebanese-Israeli border, where intense confrontations between Israel and Hezbollah have erupted since October 2023, resulting in thousands of casualties and the displacement of tens of thousands of people on both sides.
Despite a ceasefire being announced in November 2024, security and military violations continue to occur from time to time, threatening the collapse of the fragile truce.
