فيما ناشدت السفارة الأمريكية في العراق مواطنيها بالحفاظ على أعلى درجات اليقظة والانتباه، كشف وزير الدفاع الأمريكي بيت هيغسيث، أمس (الأربعاء) عن أهداف الضربات الأمريكية المرتقبة ضد إيران خلال الساعات القادمة.
وقال هيغسيث: «ستستهدف الولايات المتحدة منشآت رئيسية في إيران خلال الساعات القادمة»، واصفاً الضربات المرتقبة بأنها ستكون «قوية وواضحة».
وأضاف: «القيادة المركزية الأمريكية ستكون مشغولة الليلة»، موضحاً أن الجيش الأمريكي سيضرب إيران «بقوة».
وأشار إلى أنه إذا اختارت إيران الاستمرار في المناورة فسيوجه الرئيس ترمب الملف إلى وزارة الحرب فوراً، مبيناً أن طهران تختار ممارسة الألاعيب والمماطلة بدلاً من استغلال فرصة التوصل لصفقة.
وشدد بالقول: الرئيس ترمب مستعد للقتال إذا لزم الأمر، ولكنه قدم لإيران فرصة سانحة لإبرام اتفاق.
وأضاف: لسنا بصدد الكشف عن خططنا العسكرية، وما سنفعله الليلة سيعزز مصالحنا الحربية وموقفنا الدبلوماسي، موضحاً أن بنك الأهداف والقدرات الحالية تتجاوز بكثير ما كانت عليه في بداية عملية «الغضب الملحمي».
ولفت إلى أنه بلاده استغلت وقف إطلاق النار لتطوير معلوماتها الاستخباراتية وتحديث بنك الأهداف في إيران، مبيناً أن إيران لا تمتلك قاعدة صناعية دفاعية ومخزونها العسكري محدود للغاية.
يأتي ذلك فيما قالت السفارة الأمريكية في العراق لرعاياها: قد تحدث اضطرابات في السفر أو إغلاقات للمجال الجوي بشكل مفاجئ ودون إشعار مسبق نظراً للتطورات، ننصحكم بالحفاظ على أعلى درجات اليقظة والانتباه.
وفي غضون ذلك، نقل موقع «أكسيوس» عن مصدرين أمريكيين أن الرئيس دونالد ترمب عقد اجتماعاً في غرفة العمليات بالبيت الأبيض لبحث خيارات توجيه ضربات جديدة ضد إيران، بعد ساعات من إبلاغه الصحفيين بأن الولايات المتحدة ستضرب طهران مجدداً وبقوة اليوم.
وأوضح المصدران أن أحد الخيارات التي يدرسها ترمب يتمثل في تنفيذ عملية واسعة النطاق وقصيرة المدة، بهدف الضغط على إيران لتغيير موقفها في المفاوضات، من دون تقديم تفاصيل إضافية.
من جهة أخرى، كشفت شبكة «إن بي سي نيوز» عن توجيه سيصدره الرئيس الأمريكي إلى شركات الصناعات الدفاعية لتسريع وتيرة إنتاج الصواريخ وزيادة الطاقة التصنيعية لتلبية احتياجات وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية.
وقالت الشبكة إن الرئيس ترمب يستعد لعقد اجتماع مع كبار المسؤولين التنفيذيين في شركات الصناعات الدفاعية الأمريكية، في ظل تزايد المخاوف داخل الإدارة الأمريكية بشأن مستويات مخزون الصواريخ والذخائر.
وأفادت بأن ترمب يعتزم الضغط على رؤساء شركات الصناعات الدفاعية لتسريع وتيرة إنتاج الصواريخ وزيادة الطاقة التصنيعية، مبينة أنه أعرب في مناسبات عدة عن استيائه من تراجع بعض المخزونات العسكرية، واعتبر أن تعزيز القدرات الإنتاجية لقطاع الصناعات الدفاعية بات أولوية لضمان الجاهزية العسكرية للولايات المتحدة.
ويأتي ذلك في وقت تواجه واشنطن تحديات متزايدة مرتبطة بالعمليات العسكرية الجارية ومتطلبات الردع الإستراتيجي.
While the American embassy in Iraq urged its citizens to maintain the highest levels of vigilance and attention, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth revealed yesterday (Wednesday) the targets of the anticipated American strikes against Iran in the coming hours.
Hegseth stated, “The United States will target key facilities in Iran in the coming hours,” describing the upcoming strikes as “strong and clear.”
He added, “The U.S. Central Command will be busy tonight,” clarifying that the American military will strike Iran “with force.”
He pointed out that if Iran chooses to continue its maneuvers, President Trump will immediately refer the matter to the Department of War, indicating that Tehran opts to engage in tricks and procrastination instead of seizing the opportunity to reach a deal.
He emphasized, saying: President Trump is ready to fight if necessary, but he has given Iran a golden opportunity to reach an agreement.
He added: We are not in a position to disclose our military plans, and what we will do tonight will enhance our war interests and our diplomatic position, clarifying that the target bank and current capabilities far exceed what they were at the beginning of the “Epic Fury” operation.
He noted that his country has utilized the ceasefire to develop its intelligence and update the target bank in Iran, indicating that Iran does not possess a defensive industrial base and its military stockpile is extremely limited.
This comes as the American embassy in Iraq advised its citizens: Travel disruptions or sudden airspace closures may occur without prior notice due to developments, and we recommend maintaining the highest levels of vigilance and attention.
Meanwhile, Axios reported from two American sources that President Donald Trump held a meeting in the White House Situation Room to discuss options for launching new strikes against Iran, just hours after informing reporters that the United States would strike Tehran again and with force today.
The sources clarified that one of the options Trump is considering involves carrying out a large-scale, short-duration operation aimed at pressuring Iran to change its position in the negotiations, without providing additional details.
On another note, NBC News revealed that a directive will be issued by the American president to defense industry companies to accelerate missile production and increase manufacturing capacity to meet the needs of the U.S. Department of Defense.
The network stated that President Trump is preparing to hold a meeting with senior executives from American defense industry companies, amid growing concerns within the U.S. administration regarding missile and ammunition stock levels.
It reported that Trump intends to pressure defense industry leaders to accelerate missile production and increase manufacturing capacity, noting that he has expressed his dissatisfaction on several occasions regarding the decline in some military stockpiles, considering that enhancing the production capabilities of the defense industry sector has become a priority to ensure the military readiness of the United States.
This comes at a time when Washington faces increasing challenges related to ongoing military operations and strategic deterrence requirements.
