كشف تقرير أمريكي أن مشروعاً مشتركاً بين شركتين أمريكية وسعودية تقومان ببناء مصنع قرب العاصمة الرياض لتصنيع مسيّرات قتالية.
وأوضح سيمافور، في التقرير الصادر عن مكتبه في الرياض، أن الشراكة المذكورة هي بين الشركة الأمريكية SR2Vector، التي يوجد مقرها في ولاية يوتا، وشركة SR2 Defence Systems السعودية. وستقوم الشركتان بتصنيع مسيّرة صنعتها شركة فيكتور، وأطلقت عليها «سكاي واسب». وهذه المسيّرة قادرة على ضرب أهدافها على مسافة تصل إلى 1,500 كيلومتر. ومن شأن هذا المشروع أن يعزز قدرات الردع السعودي، بحسب مسؤول الاستراتيجية في SR2 لوسين زيغلر، الذي قال إن المصنع الجاري إنشاؤه سينتح كميات من المسيّرة المذكور تلائم متطلبات الردع الاستراتيجي السعودي. وأشار سيمافور إلى أن إنتاج مسيّرة فكتور سيكون موجهاً إلى السوق المحلية السعودية والتصدر إلى الدول الحليفة
ويأتي هذا التطور في نطاق سياسة المملكة الرامية لتوطين 50% من التصنيع العسكري بحلول العام 2030. وتوقع تقرير سيمافور أن كلفة تصنيع المسيّرة تبلغ نحو 35 ألف دولار، وهي أقل كثيراً جداً مما تنفقه دول الخليج العربية على أسلحة صواريخ اعتراض المسيّرات والصواريخ البالستية. وتعول السعودية على الارتقاء بالتعاون العسكري مع الولايات المتحدة، خصوصاً بعدما أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، إثر محادثات أجراها مع ولي العهد السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، في البيت الأبيض في نوفمبر 2025، اعتبار السعودية حليفاً رئيسياً غير عضو في منظمة حلف شمال الأطلسي (ناتو).
An American report revealed that a joint project between an American and a Saudi company is underway to build a factory near the capital Riyadh for the manufacturing of combat drones.
Semaphore clarified in the report issued from its office in Riyadh that the mentioned partnership is between the American company SR2Vector, based in Utah, and the Saudi company SR2 Defence Systems. The two companies will manufacture a drone developed by Victor, called “Sky Wasp.” This drone is capable of striking its targets at a distance of up to 1,500 kilometers. This project is expected to enhance Saudi deterrence capabilities, according to SR2’s strategy official, Lucien Ziegler, who stated that the factory being built will produce quantities of the mentioned drone that meet the requirements of Saudi strategic deterrence. Semaphore noted that the production of the Victor drone will be directed towards the Saudi local market and exporting to allied countries.
This development comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s policy aimed at localizing 50% of military manufacturing by the year 2030. Semaphore’s report anticipated that the cost of manufacturing the drone would be around $35,000, which is significantly lower than what Gulf Arab states spend on missile interception systems for drones and ballistic missiles. Saudi Arabia is counting on enhancing military cooperation with the United States, especially after President Donald Trump announced, following talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz at the White House in November 2025, that Saudi Arabia is considered a major non-NATO ally.
