أعربت وزارة الخارجية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، عن إدانة المملكة العربية السعودية واستنكارها بأشد العبارات الاعتداء الإيراني الغاشم والانتهاك السافر لسيادة مملكة البحرين ودولة الكويت الشقيقتين، بما في ذلك استهداف مطار الكويت الدولي وعدد من منشآتها الحيوية، التي أدت إلى وفاة شخص وإصابة آخرين.
وأكدت الوزارة في بيانها أن المملكة تؤكد رفضها القاطع لهذه الاعتداءات التي تمس سيادة الدول الخليجية الشقيقة، في خرق واضح للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وتجدّد المملكة تأكيدها أن هذه الانتهاكات تقوّض الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى إرساء الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وجدّدت المملكة تضامنها الكامل مع مملكة البحرين ودولة الكويت، ودعمها لكافة ما تتخذانه من إجراءات لحفظ سيادتهما وأمنهما واستقرارهما، وتؤكد وقوفها الكامل إلى جانب الدولتين الشقيقتين، وتقدم المملكة العزاء والمواساة لذوي الضحايا، مع تمنياتها للمصابين بالشفاء العاجل.
وكان مطار الكويت قد تعرض لهجوم بطائرات مسيّرة وصواريخ باليستية صباح اليوم، ما أسفر عن وفاة شخص وإصابة آخرين، إضافة إلى أضرار جسيمة في منشآت المطار.
وندّدت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية في بيان بالهجوم، واصفة إياه بأنه «نهج عدواني إيراني منظم».
وفي الوقت ذاته، اعترضت الدفاعات البحرينية 3 صواريخ وعدداً من الطائرات المسيّرة الإيرانية ودمرتها، منددة بما وصفته بـ«النهج العدواني الإيراني المنظم»، الذي يستهدف الأعيان المدنية في مملكة البحرين.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed today (Wednesday) the condemnation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its strongest denunciation of the brutal Iranian aggression and the blatant violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, including the targeting of Kuwait International Airport and several of its vital facilities, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to others.
The ministry confirmed in its statement that the Kingdom firmly rejects these aggressions that affect the sovereignty of the sister Gulf states, in a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and the Kingdom reiterates that these violations undermine international efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in the region.
The Kingdom renewed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, and its support for all measures they take to preserve their sovereignty, security, and stability, affirming its complete support for the two sister states, and the Kingdom extends its condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
Kuwait International Airport was attacked by drones and ballistic missiles this morning, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to others, in addition to severe damage to the airport’s facilities.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack in a statement, describing it as “an organized Iranian aggressive approach.”
At the same time, Bahraini defenses intercepted 3 missiles and several Iranian drones and destroyed them, condemning what it described as “an organized Iranian aggressive approach” that targets civilian objects in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
