من السهل جداً مطالبة المهندس فهد سندي بتقديم استقالته، كما فعلت الزميلة الإعلامية فدوى الطيار وغيرها من محبي هذا الكيان، بعيداً عن الطوابير المسيئة وأتباع قادتها. إلا أن الملاحظ أن سندي لم يستجب لتلك المطالبات، وكذلك أعضاء مجلس إدارته الذين يشاركونه مسؤولية الإخفاق، إلى جانب الرئيس التنفيذي والمدير الرياضي والمدربين والأجهزة الإدارية والفنية.
-وبما أن سندي متمسك بموقفه ولا يرغب في مغادرة الكرسي الساخن، فإنني أجدها فرصة لأوجه له رسالة أخيرة على سبيل النصيحة، آملاً أن يستوعب مضمونها. ومفادها بأن يترجل إذا كان يرى نفسه غير قادر على إعادة هيبة الاتحاد، أو كان عاجزا عن تحديد احتياجات الفريق واتخاذ القرارات المصيرية التي لا تحتمل التأجيل أو التسويف.
-لقد دخل النادي الذي تنتمي إليه -والجماهير التي منحتك صوتها في الانتخابات ووثقت فيك- في دوامة «أسوأ» بكثير من تلك التي عشتها أنت وأعضاء مجلس إدارتك طوال الفترة الماضية، وهو أمر يستوجب وقفة صادقة مع النفس قبل فوات الأوان.
-والرسالة ذاتها أوجهها إلى أعضاء مجلس الإدارة، مطالباً إياهم بالتحلي بالشجاعة الكافية للترجل سريعاً وتقديم استقالاتهم اليوم قبل الغد. فالوقت كالسيف، إن لم تقطعه قطعك، وأخشى أن يتحول استمراركم إلى السيف الذي ينخر جسد الاتحاد ويقضي على آمال جماهيره في المنافسة وتحقيق البطولات خلال الموسم المقبل، بل ويضع النادي أمام مستقبل مقلق على المديين القريب والبعيد.
-أما إذا كان سندي لا يزال متمسكاً بالوعد الذي قطعه أمام عدد من الإعلاميين خلال الاجتماع الذي عقد في شهر رمضان المبارك، حين أكد أنه لن يترك الاتحاد إلا بعد إصلاح أوضاعه من جميع النواحي وفق إستراتيجية معتمدة تمتد لخمس سنوات، فإنني أرجو أن يفي بوعده، وأن يثبت هو وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة حسن نواياهم وحرصهم على مصلحة النادي من خلال المطالبة الجادة بحقوق النادي المالية لدى صندوق الاستثمارات العامة ولجنة الاستقطاب دون أي مماطلة، والإسراع في إنهاء الملفات التعاقدية كافة، وفي مقدمتها التعاقد مع مدرب كبير ولاعبين على مستوى الطموحات، مع الالتزام بأقصى درجات الشفافية في التعامل مع الجماهير وإطلاعها على حقيقة ما يجري.
-نعم، ترجلوا… فلم يعد أمامكم متسع من الوقت، ولم يعد هناك مجال للمراوحة أو التردد، فإما أن تترجلوا وتعلنوا استقالتكم إذا كانت هناك أنظمة أو قيود تكبل صلاحياتكم وتمنعكم من اتخاذ الإجراءات التي تضمن حماية النادي من الوقوع في أخطاء قاتلة، وإما أن تتحملوا كامل المسؤولية عن المرحلة المقبلة.
-كونوا على يقين إن حدث ما لا تُحمد عقباه فإن التاريخ لن يرحمكم، ولن يقبل الأعذار ذاتها التي سمعناها من قبل، عندما خرج الرئيس السابق أنمار الحائلي بعد إخفاق تجربته مقدماً التبريرات المتعلقة بمنعه من الظهور الإعلامي أو المطالبة بحقوق ناديه.
-أعيد وأكرر إذا كنتم تملكون القدرة على تنفيذ إصلاح عاجل وحقيقي، فأبدأوا به فوراً، لأن الاتحاد لا يملك رفاهية الانتظار، ولا يحتمل مزيداً من التأخير أو التسويف.

-The same message I direct to the board members, urging them to have the courage to step down quickly and submit their resignations today before tomorrow. Time is like a sword; if you do not cut it, it will cut you. I fear that your continuation will turn into the sword that gnaws at the body of the union and destroys the hopes of its fans in competing and achieving championships during the upcoming season, and even puts the club in front of a worrying future in both the near and distant terms.
-However, if Sindi is still committed to the promise he made to several media figures during the meeting held in the blessed month of Ramadan, when he confirmed that he would not leave the union until he rectified its situation from all aspects according to an approved five-year strategy, then I hope he fulfills his promise and that he and the board members prove their good intentions and their concern for the club’s interests by seriously demanding the club’s financial rights from the Public Investment Fund and the Recruitment Committee without any procrastination, and by hastening to finalize all contractual files, foremost of which is the contract with a top coach and players who meet the ambitions, while adhering to the highest levels of transparency in dealing with the fans and informing them of the reality of what is happening.
-Yes, step down… for you no longer have the luxury of time, and there is no room for hesitation or delay. Either you step down and announce your resignation if there are systems or constraints that bind your powers and prevent you from taking the actions that ensure the club’s protection from making fatal mistakes, or you bear full responsibility for the upcoming phase.
-Be assured that if something regrettable happens, history will not forgive you, and it will not accept the same excuses we have heard before, when the former president Anmar Al-Haili exited after his failed experience, offering justifications related to his being prevented from appearing in the media or demanding his club’s rights.
-I repeat, if you have the ability to implement urgent and real reforms, then start immediately, because the union does not have the luxury of waiting, nor can it endure any further delays or procrastination.
