أقرّ الجيش الإسرائيلي، اليوم (السبت)، بمقتل ضابط صف من قوات الاحتياط وإصابة ثلاثة جنود بجروح متوسطة، خلال مواجهات شهدها جنوب لبنان أمس (الجمعة).
وأوضح الجيش أن التحقيقات الأولية تشير إلى أن العبوة الناسفة التي تسببت بالهجوم زُرعت قبل سريان وقف إطلاق النار، لافتاً إلى مقتل 14 جندياً منذ اندلاع الحرب في لبنان، وإصابة أكثر من 650 آخرين بجروح متفاوتة.
تفجيرات وقصف إسرائيلي
في غضون ذلك، واصلت القوات الإسرائيلية عملياتها الميدانية، وفجّرت عدداً من المنازل في بلدات الخيام ومركبا والطيبة جنوب لبنان، فيما قصفت مدفعيتها أطراف بلدة دير سريان، مستهدفة مجرى النهر قبالة بلدة زوطر الشرقية، وفق ما أفادت به الوكالة الوطنية للإعلام.
كما أغلقت القوات الإسرائيلية جميع مداخل بلدة الخيام عبر سواتر ترابية وعوائق، بهدف منع الدخول إليها، بعد تنفيذ عمليات تفجير داخل البلدة في وقت سابق.
المنطقة الأمنية في لبنان
من جانبه، أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو استمرار العمليات العسكرية، قائلاً: «سنواصل عملياتنا في المنطقة الأمنية في لبنان».
توتر دولي بعد استهداف قوات «يونيفيل»
في سياق متصل، قُتل جندي فرنسي وأُصيب ثلاثة آخرون من قوات قوة الأمم المتحدة المؤقتة في لبنان، في حادث أثار ردود فعل دولية.
واتهم الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون «حزب الله» بالمسؤولية، قائلاً إن «كل المؤشرات تفيد بأن المسؤولية تقع على حزب الله»، مطالباً السلطات اللبنانية بالتحرك الفوري لوقف الجناة، والاضطلاع بمسؤولياتها بالتعاون مع القوات الدولية.
ويثير استهداف قوات «يونيفيل» مخاوف دولية متزايدة من اتساع رقعة النزاع، في ظل هشاشة التفاهمات المتعلقة بوقف إطلاق النار، واستمرار العمليات العسكرية الميدانية على جانبي الحدود.
The Israeli army acknowledged today (Saturday) the death of a reservist officer and the injury of three soldiers with moderate wounds during clashes that occurred in southern Lebanon yesterday (Friday).
The army explained that preliminary investigations indicate that the explosive device that caused the attack was planted before the ceasefire took effect, noting that 14 soldiers have been killed since the outbreak of the war in Lebanon, and more than 650 others have been injured with varying degrees of severity.
Explosions and Israeli Shelling
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued their field operations, blowing up several houses in the towns of Khiam, Markaba, and Taybeh in southern Lebanon, while their artillery shelled the outskirts of the town of Deir Siryan, targeting the riverbank opposite the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, according to the National News Agency.
Israeli forces also closed all entrances to the town of Khiam with earthen barriers and obstacles to prevent entry after carrying out demolition operations inside the town earlier.
The Security Zone in Lebanon
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the continuation of military operations, stating: “We will continue our operations in the security zone in Lebanon.”
International Tension After Targeting UNIFIL Forces
In a related context, a French soldier was killed and three others from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon were injured in an incident that sparked international reactions.
French President Emmanuel Macron accused Hezbollah of responsibility, stating that “all indicators suggest that the responsibility lies with Hezbollah,” calling on the Lebanese authorities to take immediate action to stop the perpetrators and to fulfill their responsibilities in cooperation with international forces.
The targeting of UNIFIL forces raises increasing international concerns about the escalation of the conflict, amid the fragility of the understandings related to the ceasefire and the ongoing military operations on both sides of the border.
