ألغيت المباراة التجريبية بين منتخبي الدنمارك وأوكرانيا لكرة القدم اليوم (الأحد) قبل نهايتها، بسبب أزمة قلبية جديدة تعرض لها كريستيان إريكسن قائد المنتخب الدنماركي.
وفي الدقيقة 65 سقط إريكسن مغشياً عليه في أرض الملعب أثناء تقدم منتخب بلاده بنتيجة 2-1.
تقدم المنتخب الدنماركي بهدفي باتريك دورجو ويواكيم مايلي في الدقيقتين 13 و36، وقلصت أوكرانيا الفارق بهدف وحيد سجله فيكتور تسيهانكوف في الدقيقة 44.
وبعد توقف دام نحو ربع ساعة، ابتعد مخرج المباراة بالكاميرات عن أرضية الملعب أثناء إسعاف كريستيان إريكسن وسط ترقب من الجماهير الحاضرة في المدرجات ولاعبي الفريقين والأجهزة الفنية.
وأثناء التوقف، تحدث حكم اللقاء مع بيير إيميل هويبرج قائد منتخب الدنمارك، ونظيره في أوكرانيا، ميكولا ماتفيينكو، قبل أن يقرر إلغاء المباراة بعد نقل كريستيان إريكسن إلى المستشفى في سيارة إسعاف وسط عاصفة من التصفيق.
وسبق أن تعرض إريكسن (34 عاماً) لأزمة قلبية خلال مباراة الدنمارك ضد فنلندا في بطولة أمم أوروبا خلال صيف 2021، استدعت أيضاً خروجه من الملعب بعد توقف قلبه لدقائق، ونجاح عملية الإنعاش المؤقت.
واضطر إريكسن لتركيب جهاز لتنظيم ضربات القلب لاستكمال مسيرته مع كرة القدم قبل أن يقرر نادي إنتر ميلان الإيطالي الاستغناء عنه لأن لوائح الدوري لا تسمح لمثل هذه الحالات الطبية بالمشاركة في المباريات.
وبعدها تنقل النجم الدنماركي بين أندية برينتفورد ومانشستر يونايتد في إنجلترا، قبل أن ينضم لصفوف فولفسبورغ الألماني في صيف 2025 بعقد لمدة موسمين.
يذكر أيضاً أن منتخبي الدنمارك وأوكرانيا فشلا في التأهل لكأس العالم 2026 بالولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك، وكانا يستعدان بهذه المباراة التجريبية لانطلاقة مشوارهما في سبتمبر القادم ببطولة دوري أمم أوروبا للموسم الجديد 2026ـ2027.
The friendly match between the national teams of Denmark and Ukraine was canceled today (Sunday) before its conclusion, due to a new cardiac crisis experienced by Christian Eriksen, the captain of the Danish team.
In the 65th minute, Eriksen collapsed on the field while his team was leading 2-1.
The Danish team took the lead with goals from Patrick Dorgu and Joachim Maile in the 13th and 36th minutes, while Ukraine narrowed the gap with a single goal scored by Viktor Tsyhankov in the 44th minute.
After a stoppage lasting about fifteen minutes, the match director moved the cameras away from the field while Christian Eriksen was being assisted, amidst the anticipation of the spectators in the stands and the players and coaching staff of both teams.
During the stoppage, the referee spoke with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, the captain of the Danish team, and his counterpart in Ukraine, Mykola Matviyenko, before deciding to cancel the match after Christian Eriksen was transported to the hospital in an ambulance amidst a storm of applause.
Eriksen (34 years old) had previously suffered a cardiac crisis during the Denmark vs. Finland match in the UEFA European Championship in the summer of 2021, which also required him to leave the field after his heart stopped for several minutes, and the success of temporary resuscitation.
Eriksen was forced to have a device implanted to regulate his heartbeat to continue his football career before Inter Milan decided to part ways with him because league regulations do not allow such medical cases to participate in matches.
After that, the Danish star moved between Brentford and Manchester United in England, before joining VfL Wolfsburg in Germany in the summer of 2025 on a two-season contract.
It is also worth mentioning that both Denmark and Ukraine failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and were preparing for this friendly match as a lead-up to their campaign in the upcoming UEFA Nations League for the new season 2026-2027.
