عقد رئيس مجلس الشورى الدكتور عبدالله محمد إبراهيم آل الشيخ، جلسة مباحثات رسمية مع رئيس مجلس الشعب المالديفي عبدالرحيم عبدالله في مقر البرلمان بالعاصمة ماليه، ضمن زيارته الرسمية لجمهورية المالديف. ورحّب رئيس البرلمان المالديفي، بوفد مجلس الشورى، مشيدًا بالدور الريادي للمملكة إقليميًا ودوليًا، وبجهودها في خدمة الحرمين الشريفين ورعاية الحجاج والمعتمرين.
وأكد رئيس مجلس الشورى عمق الروابط الأخوية بين المملكة والمالديف، مشيرًا إلى أهمية تعزيز العلاقات البرلمانية وتطوير التعاون والتنسيق المشترك بما يخدم مصالح البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين. وشهدت الجلسة مناقشة عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، واستعراض علاقات التعاون بين المجلسين، وسبل تعزيز التنسيق في المحافل البرلمانية الدولية بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة.
The Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sheikh, held an official discussion session with the Chairman of the Maldives Parliament, Abdul Raheem Abdullah, at the parliament headquarters in the capital, Male, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Maldives. The Chairman of the Maldives Parliament welcomed the Shura Council delegation, praising the Kingdom’s leading role regionally and internationally, and its efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques and caring for pilgrims and Umrah performers.
The Chairman of the Shura Council affirmed the deep fraternal ties between the Kingdom and the Maldives, pointing to the importance of enhancing parliamentary relations and developing joint cooperation and coordination to serve the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples. The session witnessed discussions on a number of topics of mutual interest, reviewing the cooperative relations between the two councils, and ways to enhance coordination in international parliamentary forums to achieve common interests.
