نجا الفنان المصري إسلام جمال وزوجته وابنته من واقعة اعتداء مروع على أحد الطرق السريعة بمحافظة الجيزة، بعدما حاول شخصان سرقة سيارته تحت تهديد السلاح، في لحظات صادمة عاشتها الأسرة خلال رحلة عادية تحولت فجأة إلى مواجهة خطيرة.
وتمكنت الأجهزة الأمنية من ضبط المتهمين؛ وهما من المسجلين خطر، بعد تحديد هويتهما واتهامهما بمحاولة سرقة سيارة الفنان وإشهار سلاح ناري في وجهه أثناء وجوده مع أسرته داخل السيارة، حيث باشرت النيابة العامة التحقيق في الواقعة لكشف ملابساتها كاملة. وكشفت التحريات الأولية أن المتهمين اعترضا طريق سيارة إسلام جمال، وحاولا إجباره على التوقف تمهيدًا لسرقتها، قبل أن يُشهر أحدهما السلاح في وجهه، ما دفع الأجهزة الأمنية لتكثيف جهودها وضبطهما سريعًا.
وفي أول تعليق له، قال الفنان إسلام إن الموقف كان صادمًا إلى حدّ أنه ظن في البداية أنه مقلب أو كاميرا خفية، قبل أن يدرك أنه يواجه خطرًا حقيقيًا قد يهدد حياته وحياة أسرته. وروى إسلام تفاصيل اللحظات التي عاشها، موضحًا أنه كان في طريقه من حي الشيخ زايد إلى أحد الأندية بمنطقة المهندسين، حين فوجئ بسيارة تعترض طريقه، ثم ترجّل منها شخص موجهًا السلاح نحوه.
وأشار إسلام إلى أنه لم يجد وقتًا للتفكير، فقرر الرجوع بالسيارة للخلف بسرعة في محاولة للهرب، قبل أن يفر المتهم من المكان متأثرًا بكلمات سيدة كانت تقود سيارة خلفه واعترضت على تراجع السيارة في الطريق. وأكد الفنان أنه شعر لاحقًا بأن ما حدث كان يمكن أن ينتهي بشكل مأساوي، لكنه يعتبر نجاة أسرته من الخطر أكبر مكسب في تلك اللحظات التي وصفها بأنها من أصعب ما مرّ به في حياته.
The Egyptian artist Islam Gamal, along with his wife and daughter, survived a horrific assault on one of the highways in Giza Governorate, after two individuals attempted to steal his car at gunpoint, in a shocking moment experienced by the family during an ordinary trip that suddenly turned into a dangerous confrontation.
The security forces managed to apprehend the suspects, who are known criminals, after identifying them and accusing them of attempting to steal the artist’s car and brandishing a firearm at him while he was with his family inside the vehicle. The Public Prosecution has initiated an investigation into the incident to uncover all its circumstances. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects blocked Islam Gamal’s car and tried to force him to stop in preparation for stealing it, before one of them brandished a weapon at him, prompting the security forces to intensify their efforts and quickly apprehend them.
In his first comment, artist Islam stated that the situation was so shocking that he initially thought it was a prank or a hidden camera, before realizing he was facing a real danger that could threaten his life and that of his family. Islam recounted the details of the moments he experienced, explaining that he was on his way from Sheikh Zayed neighborhood to a club in the Mohandessin area when he was surprised by a car blocking his path, and then a person got out and pointed a gun at him.
Islam indicated that he had no time to think, so he decided to quickly reverse the car in an attempt to escape, before the suspect fled the scene, influenced by the words of a woman driving a car behind him who objected to the car backing up on the road. The artist confirmed that he later felt that what happened could have ended tragically, but he considers the survival of his family from danger to be the greatest gain in those moments, which he described as some of the hardest he has ever experienced in his life.
