دانت مصر بأشد العبارات محاولة استهداف المدينة المنورة بصاروخ باليستي، معربة عن استنكارها البالغ لمثل تلك الاعتداءات.
وقالت الخارجية المصرية في بيان رسمي، اليوم (الجمعة) إن الاعتداءات تمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً لقواعد وأحكام القانون الدولي، وتقوض من أمن واستقرار المنطقة، ومن جهود التهدئة ومساعي إرساء السلام.
وجددت مصر التأكيد على تضامنها الكامل مع المملكة ووقوفها بجانبها في كل ما تتخذه من إجراءات للدفاع عن أمنها وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها ومواطنيها، باعتبار أمن المملكة مترابط بشكل وثيق بالأمن القومي المصري وأحد قوائم الاستقرار في المنطقة ككل.
وكان المتحدث الرسمي باسم قوات التحالف (تحالف دعم الشرعية في اليمن) اللواء الركن تركي المالكي، صرّح بأن الدفاع الجوي اعترض ودمّر صاروخاً باليستياً أطلقته الميليشيا الحوثية الإرهابية باتجاه منطقة المدينة المنورة.
Egypt strongly condemned the attempt to target Medina with a ballistic missile, expressing its deep disapproval of such attacks.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in an official statement today (Friday) that these attacks represent a blatant violation of the rules and provisions of international law, undermining the security and stability of the region, as well as efforts for de-escalation and peacebuilding.
Egypt reiterated its full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all measures it takes to defend its security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and citizens, considering the security of the Kingdom to be closely linked to Egyptian national security and one of the pillars of stability in the region as a whole.
The official spokesman for the coalition forces (Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen), Major General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that air defense intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards the Medina area.
