In a move that raised questions among her followers, Egyptian artist Menna Fadali deleted photos in which she appeared alongside Egyptian actor Ahmed El Sakka, after the images circulated widely on social media platforms, accompanied by varying comments from critics and defenders regarding the nature of the photos.
Details of the Deleted Photos
The story began when Menna Fadali posted photos from a visit to Ahmed El Sakka’s home, during which several artists were present, including Hani Ramzy and Elham Shaheen. She accompanied the post with a message expressing her affection for El Sakka, describing him as “the sweetest samurai in the world,” and indicating her happiness at the gathering of friends.
What Did Menna Fadali Delete?
After posting the photos, followers noticed the absence of the images that featured Menna Fadali and El Sakka alone, while the photos showing the group remained available on her account. This discrepancy raised questions about whether the deletion was related to the comments that accompanied the spread of the photos, with no confirmation clarifying the reason.
Division Over the Images
Reactions varied between those who criticized some details of the photos and others who considered that the images reflected the atmosphere of a spontaneous social gathering, arguing that the presence of the artists together at a private event does not warrant interpretations or widespread controversy.
Lack of Official Comment
Menna Fadali has not revealed the reasons that led her to delete the photos, nor has Ahmed El Sakka issued any comment regarding the incident, leaving the motives for this step undisclosed so far.
Collaborations Between Them
Menna Fadali and Ahmed El Sakka previously collaborated artistically in the series “Nesl Al-Aghrab,” which aired during the Ramadan season of 2021, co-starring Amir Karara. The show presented a dramatic treatment set in the atmosphere of Upper Egypt, written and directed by Mohamed Sami.
