تكبدت الأسهم الأمريكية خسائر حادة بنهاية تعاملات أمس (الجمعة)، وسط موجة بيع واسعة طالت أسهم شركات التكنولوجيا، دفعت مؤشر «ناسداك» إلى فقدان نحو 750 نقطة في جلسة واحدة، وتسجيل خسائر شهرية بلغت 5.3% خلال أكتوبر، مع تصاعد مخاوف المستثمرين بشأن جدوى الإنفاق الضخم على تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
وهبط مؤشر «ناسداك» المركب بنسبة 2.86%، فاقداً 747.72 نقطة، ليغلق عند 25,437 نقطة، فيما تراجع مؤشر «داو جونز» الصناعي بنحو 572 نقطة، بنسبة 1.09%، إلى 51,770 نقطة، وانخفض مؤشر «ستاندرد آند بورز 500» بنسبة 1.82%، خاسراً 140 نقطة، ليغلق عند 7,580 نقطة.
وعلى مستوى الأداء الشهري، سجل «ناسداك» خسائر بنسبة 5.3%، و«ستاندرد آند بورز 500» بنسبة 0.93%، فيما خالف «داو جونز» الاتجاه بارتفاع نسبته 1.7%. وسجلت المؤشرات الثلاثة خسائر أسبوعية بلغت 2% و0.57% و0.85% على التوالي.
وامتدت التراجعات إلى الأسواق الأوروبية، إذ انخفض مؤشر «ستوكس يوروب 600» بنسبة 0.36% إلى 646 نقطة، وتراجع «داكس» الألماني بنسبة 0.85% إلى 25,818 نقطة، فيما استقر «فوتسي 100» البريطاني عند 10,729 نقطة، و«كاك 40» الفرنسي عند 7,969 نقطة.
وفي الأسواق الآسيوية، هبط مؤشر «نيكي 225» الياباني بنسبة 2.1% إلى 63,290 نقطة، وانخفض مؤشر «توبكس» الأوسع نطاقاً بنسبة 0.95% إلى 3,965 نقطة.
The U.S. stocks suffered sharp losses at the end of trading yesterday (Friday), amid a broad sell-off that affected technology company shares, causing the Nasdaq index to lose about 750 points in a single session, and recording monthly losses of 5.3% during October, as investor fears grew regarding the viability of massive spending on artificial intelligence technologies.
The Nasdaq Composite Index fell by 2.86%, losing 747.72 points, to close at 25,437 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by about 572 points, or 1.09%, to 51,770 points, and the S&P 500 Index decreased by 1.82%, losing 140 points, to close at 7,580 points.
In terms of monthly performance, the Nasdaq recorded losses of 5.3%, the S&P 500 by 0.93%, while the Dow Jones defied the trend with an increase of 1.7%. The three indices recorded weekly losses of 2%, 0.57%, and 0.85% respectively.
The declines extended to European markets, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index falling by 0.36% to 646 points, the German DAX declining by 0.85% to 25,818 points, while the British FTSE 100 remained stable at 10,729 points, and the French CAC 40 at 7,969 points.
In Asian markets, the Japanese Nikkei 225 index dropped by 2.1% to 63,290 points, and the broader Topix index fell by 0.95% to 3,965 points.
