تمنى المهاجم الدولي السابق نايف هزازي تحقيق المنتخب السعودي الفوز على منتخب الأوروغواي في المباراة الأولى بكأس العالم 2026، مبدياً ثقته في لاعبي الأخضر والمدرب دونيس الذي أظهر لمسات فنية «شاهدنا منتخبنا الوطني قدم مستويات فنية جيدة في المباريات الودية التي خاضها في المعسكر الإعدادي للمونديال الحالي».
وأكد هزازي لـ«عكاظ» أن مباراة المنتخب السعودي أمام نظيره الأوروغواي صعبة، مبيناً أن طموح نجوم الأخضر ليس الخروج بالتعادل بل الفوز، مضيفاً أن اللاعبين قادرون على تحقيق الانتصار، وحصد النقاط الثلاث «تبقى ثقتنا فيهم كبيرة».
وأوضح أن منتخب الأوروغواي دائماً مستوياته الفنية متكافئة أمام المنتخب السعودي أو المنتخبات العربية الأخرى، والفارق الروح المعنوية والأداء بقتالية من قبل اللاعبين وطريقة المدربين، وطريقة اللعب التي سيعتمدها المدرب ستساهم في تحقيق لاعبي الأخضر الفوز.
واختتم بقوله: «سبق أن شاركت مع المنتخب السعودي في المباراة الودية أمام الأوروغواي في 2014 ونجحت في تسجيل هدف التعادل للأخضر لينتهي اللقاء بنتيجة 1/1، ونجوم منتخبنا الوطني قادرون على تسجيل أكثر من هدف في المباراة الأولى في كأس العالم 2026».

He explained that the Uruguayan national team always has balanced technical levels against the Saudi national team or other Arab teams, and the difference lies in the morale and the fighting spirit of the players, as well as the coaching methods. The style of play that the coach will adopt will contribute to the Green players achieving victory.
He concluded by saying, “I previously participated with the Saudi national team in a friendly match against Uruguay in 2014, where I succeeded in scoring the equalizing goal for the Green, ending the match with a score of 1-1. The stars of our national team are capable of scoring more than one goal in the first match of the 2026 World Cup.”
