The Brazilian star Neymar, forward for Santos, described the Spanish player Lamine Yamal, winger for Barcelona, as “the best in the world,” in a praise that coincided with the remarkable levels the young player has been showcasing, and the increasing discussions about his chances in the competition for the Ballon d’Or.
Neymar’s praise came through his official account on Instagram, in response to a comparison published by the sports statistics platform “Sofascore,” which addressed the rating averages achieved by both players at the beginning of the current season, compared to Neymar’s numbers during the 2017-2018 season.
