أعلنت الشرطة السويسرية، اليوم (الخميس)، إصابة 3 أشخاص في هجوم نفذه رجل باستخدام سلاح أبيض داخل محطة قطار بمدينة وينترتور قرب زيورخ.
وذكرت الشرطة أن المهاجم، البالغ من العمر 31 عاماً، نفذ الهجوم بعيد الساعة 8:30 صباحاً (6:30 بتوقيت غرينتش)، مستهدفاً 3 أشخاص داخل محطة وينترتور، موضحة أنه تم توقيفه فوراً.
وأشارت الشرطة إلى أن المهاجم يحمل الجنسية السويسرية، فيما لا تزال التحقيقات جارية لمعرفة دوافع الهجوم، مؤكدة أن المصابين الثلاثة يتلقون الرعاية الطبية في المستشفى.
وأفادت صحيفة «بليك» السويسرية بأنها حصلت على مقطع فيديو يُظهر رجلاً يركض خارج المحطة، فيما نقلت عن شاهد عيان قوله إن الرجل كان يحمل سكيناً، بينما كان الناس من حوله يصرخون ويحاولون الفرار، مشيرة إلى أن الحادثة استدعت انتشاراً أمنياً واسعاً في محيط المحطة.
ولم تستبعد السلطات السويسرية أي فرضيات بشأن دوافع الهجوم، في وقت يواصل المحققون فحص خلفية المشتبه به وتحركاته قبل تنفيذ الاعتداء، إلى جانب مراجعة تسجيلات كاميرات المراقبة وشهادات الشهود لتحديد ملابسات الحادثة بدقة.
وتأتي الحادثة في وقت تشهد فيه أوروبا تصاعداً في حوادث الطعن الفردية داخل المرافق العامة ووسائل النقل، وسط مخاوف أمنية متزايدة من الهجمات المفاجئة التي يصعب التنبؤ بها أو منعها مسبقاً.
وخلال السنوات الأخيرة، عززت السلطات السويسرية والأوروبية إجراءات المراقبة الأمنية في محطات القطارات والمطارات والأماكن الحيوية، بعد وقوع هجمات عدة مماثلة في فرنسا وألمانيا وبريطانيا وبلجيكا، بعضها ارتبط بدوافع متطرفة، فيما ارتبطت أخرى باضطرابات نفسية أو دوافع جنائية فردية.
The Swiss police announced today (Thursday) that 3 people were injured in an attack carried out by a man using a knife inside a train station in the city of Winterthur near Zurich.
The police reported that the attacker, who is 31 years old, carried out the attack shortly after 8:30 AM (6:30 AM GMT), targeting 3 individuals inside the Winterthur station, noting that he was immediately apprehended.
The police indicated that the attacker holds Swiss nationality, while investigations are ongoing to determine the motives behind the attack, confirming that the three injured individuals are receiving medical care in the hospital.
The Swiss newspaper “Blick” reported that it obtained a video showing a man running out of the station, citing a witness who said that the man was carrying a knife, while people around him were screaming and trying to escape, noting that the incident prompted a large security presence around the station.
The Swiss authorities did not rule out any hypotheses regarding the motives of the attack, as investigators continue to examine the suspect’s background and movements prior to the assault, in addition to reviewing surveillance camera footage and witness testimonies to accurately determine the circumstances of the incident.
This incident comes at a time when Europe is witnessing an increase in individual stabbing incidents within public facilities and transportation, amid growing security concerns about sudden attacks that are difficult to predict or prevent in advance.
In recent years, Swiss and European authorities have strengthened security monitoring measures at train stations, airports, and vital locations, following several similar attacks in France, Germany, Britain, and Belgium, some of which were linked to extremist motives, while others were associated with psychological disturbances or individual criminal motives.
