بعد ساعات من مقتل مسلح لبناني حاول اجتياز الحدود مع إسرائيل، كشفت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية عن تقدم في المفاوضات بين تل أبيب وبيروت.
وذكرت «القناة 13» الإسرائيلية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، أن هناك تقدماً أُحرز في المحادثات بين إسرائيل ولبنان، التي ترعاها الولايات المتحدة أخيراً.
وأوضحت أن «التفاهمات تنص على بقاء الجيش الإسرائيلي في مواقع بالجنوب، ووقف إطلاق النار من لبنان، وتدريب الجيش اللبناني على السيطرة على مناطق ينسحب منها الجيش الإسرائيلي».
وقال الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون، في وقت سابق اليوم، إن انسحاب إسرائيل يمكّن لبنان من بسط سلطته وإنهاء المظاهر المسلحة، وسحب أي مبرر لبقاء سلاح خارج سلطة الدولة وقواها المسلحة.
وأعلنت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية ارتفاع عدد القتلى إلى 3666 شخصاً والجرحى إلى 11321 منذ 2 مارس الماضي.
وكان الجيش الإسرائيلي قد قتل مسلحاً اجتاز الحدود من لبنان، وبحسب وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية، فإن المسلح كان يخطط للتسلل إلى بلدة شمال إسرائيل، وقد تم اكتشافه بالصدفة.
وكان المسار التفاوضي اللبناني–الإسرائيلي، الذي ترعاه واشنطن، قد اختتم الجولة الرابعة نهاية الأسبوع الماضي، التي أفضت إلى إعلان نوايا يتضمن العمل على وقف إطلاق النار، فيما أكد السفير الأمريكي في لبنان ميشال عيسى، أمس، أن المفاوضات دخلت مرحلة اللاعودة، موضحاً أن الولايات المتحدة تعمل لمنع توسع المواجهة ودفع الأطراف نحو تثبيت وقف النار،
في حين شدد رئيس البرلمان نبيه بري على ضرورة التوصل إلى وقف إطلاق نار كامل وشامل براً وبحراً وجواً، على أن يتزامن انسحاب الجيش الإسرائيلي مع انسحاب «حزب الله» من جنوب الليطاني وعودة النازحين.

Israeli “Channel 13” reported today (Tuesday) that there has been progress in talks between Israel and Lebanon, which have recently been facilitated by the United States.
It clarified that “the understandings stipulate that the Israeli army will remain in positions in the south, a ceasefire from Lebanon, and training for the Lebanese army to control areas from which the Israeli army withdraws.”
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated earlier today that Israel’s withdrawal would enable Lebanon to assert its authority and end armed manifestations, removing any justification for the existence of weapons outside the state’s authority and its armed forces.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll has risen to 3,666 people and the number of injured to 11,321 since March 2.

Meanwhile, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri emphasized the necessity of reaching a complete and comprehensive ceasefire on land, at sea, and in the air, with the Israeli army’s withdrawal coinciding with the withdrawal of “Hezbollah” from southern Litani and the return of displaced persons.
