أكّد وفد البرلمان الأوروبي، برئاسة راينهولد لوباتكا، تضامنه الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية، وإدانته الشديدة للاعتداءات الغاشمة التي تعرّضت لها. جاء ذلك خلال زيارته الرسمية الحالية للمملكة.
واستعرض الوفد خلال لقائه بمقر مجلس الشورى أمس مع نائب رئيس المجلس الدكتور مشعل فهم السُّلمي سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في المجال البرلماني بين مجلس الشورى والبرلمان الأوروبي، إضافة إلى مناقشة جملة من الموضوعات والقضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
حضر اللقاء من جانب مجلس الشورى: الأمير الدكتور سعد بن سعود بن محمد، ورئيس لجنة الشؤون الخارجية عقلاء العقلاء، ورئيس لجنة الشؤون الأمنية والعسكرية الفريق عواد البلوي، ورئيس لجنة حقوق الإنسان الدكتور عبدالعزيز المهناء، ورئيس لجنة الصداقة البرلمانية السعودية مع البرلمان الأوروبي محمد الحميضي، والدكتورة أروى الرشيد، والدكتورة عهود الشهيل.
ومن الجانب الأوروبي: أعضاء البرلمان الأوروبي: أنطونيو وايت، هانا مورو، أنطونيو كورييا، عبير السحلاني، هانا نيومان، وجاتسك أوزدوبا، إلى جانب أعضاء المجموعة السياسية، وسفير الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى المملكة كريستوف فارنو.
The delegation of the European Parliament, headed by Reinhard Lübatka, confirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its strong condemnation of the brutal attacks it has faced. This came during its current official visit to the Kingdom.
During its meeting yesterday at the Shura Council headquarters with the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm al-Salami, the delegation reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the parliamentary field between the Shura Council and the European Parliament, in addition to discussing a number of topics and issues of mutual interest.
Attending the meeting from the Shura Council were: Prince Dr. Saad bin Saud bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Aqlaa al-Aqlaa, Chairman of the Security and Military Affairs Committee Lieutenant General Awad al-Balawi, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee Dr. Abdulaziz al-Muhanna, Chairman of the Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee with the European Parliament Mohammed al-Humaidi, Dr. Arwa al-Rashid, and Dr. Ahood al-Shuhail.
