تتجه أنظار عشاق الكرة في العالم بصفة عامة وفي العرب بصفة خاصة نحو المونديال المرتقب والذي سينطلق اليوم (الخميس) في 3 دول، هي: الوﻻيات المتحدة اﻷمريكية، والمكسيك، وكندا، وسيشهد هذا المونديال حدثاً فريداً من نوعه، إذ وﻷول مرة ستشارك 8 منتخبات عربية في نسخة واحدة من كأس العالم.
وبدأ الظهور العربي في تاريخ بطوﻻت كأس العالم عام 1934 بمشاركة منتخب مصر، وسجل منتخب تونس أول فوز عربي على حساب منتخب المكسيك بهدف دون مقابل وذلك عام 1978، وحقق العرب 15 فوزاً في تاريخ مشاركاتهم في أكبر محفل كروي في العالم، ويتصدر منتخب المغرب قائمة أكثر المنتخبات العربية انتصاراً بواقع 5 انتصارات جاءت 3 منها في النسخة اﻷخيرة في قطر والتي حقق فيها المغرب المركز الرابع، ورغم انتصاره على إسبانيا إﻻ أنها لم تُعد في قائمة الانتصارات لحسم اللقاء بركلات الترجيح.
وجاء منتخبنا الوطني السعودي ثانياً بتحقيقه 4 انتصارات أهمها اﻻنتصار اﻷخير في قطر 2022 على المنتخب اﻷرجنتيني، فيما جاء منتخبا الجزائر وتونس ثالثاً بتحقيق 3 انتصارات لكل منهما، وعجزت منتخبات مصر وقطر واﻹمارات والكويت والعراق عن تحقيق الفوز في مشاركاتها السابقة في المونديال.
وتبحث المنتخبات العربية الثمانية المشاركة في المونديال الحالي، وهي: المغرب والسعودية والجزائر وتونس ومصر وقطر والعراق واﻷردن لزيادة غلة اﻻنتصارات العربية في تاريخ كأس العالم.

The eyes of football fans around the world, and especially in the Arab world, are directed towards the anticipated World Cup, which will kick off today (Thursday) in three countries: the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This World Cup will witness a unique event, as for the first time, 8 Arab teams will participate in a single edition of the World Cup.
The Arab presence in the history of the World Cup began in 1934 with the participation of the Egyptian team, and the Tunisian team recorded the first Arab victory against Mexico with a score of one goal to none in 1978. Arabs have achieved 15 victories in their history of participation in the biggest football event in the world, with Morocco leading the list of the most victorious Arab teams, having won 5 matches, 3 of which came in the last edition in Qatar, where Morocco finished in fourth place. Despite its victory over Spain, it was not counted in the list of victories as the match was decided by penalties.
Our national team, Saudi Arabia, comes in second place with 4 victories, the most notable being the recent win in Qatar 2022 against the Argentine team, while Algeria and Tunisia are in third place with 3 victories each. The teams of Egypt, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, and Iraq have failed to achieve victory in their previous World Cup participations.
The eight Arab teams participating in the current World Cup, namely: Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Qatar, Iraq, and Jordan, are looking to increase the tally of Arab victories in the history of the World Cup.
