Tomorrow (Sunday), students from four educational administrations in Saudi Arabia will enjoy the first and last additional school holiday of the current academic year.
The first additional holiday includes all male and female students in public education across the regions and governorates of Saudi Arabia in boys’ and girls’ schools. This holiday will be the first and last for students of schools in Mecca, Medina, and the governorates of Jeddah and Taif, according to what the educational administrations announced regarding additional holidays, which were included at the beginning of the academic year, unlike the long school holidays specified by the Ministry of Education in the academic calendar.
There are three additional holidays remaining for all educational administrations except for the four administrations, which will be for one day only as follows: (Sunday) November 29 of the current Gregorian year 2026, and (Thursday) January 7 and (Sunday) April 11 of the coming Gregorian year 2027. It is worth noting that the academic calendar issued by the ministry included six school holidays: the National Day holiday (for two days), the Fall holiday (for nine days), the Mid-Year holiday (for nine days), the Foundation Day holiday (for two days), the Eid al-Fitr holiday (for 16 days), and the Eid al-Adha holiday (for 16 days).
