لم يتأهل الاتحاد إلى بطولة النخبة الآسيوية بفضل عمل إداري احترافي، ولا نتيجة تخطيط فني ناجح، ولا بعبقرية مدربه، ولا بسبب أداء أغلب اللاعبين الذين فقد كثير منهم القدرة على تقديم ما يليق بقميص الاتحاد وانتهت صلاحيتهم، ولا عبر إعلام اتحادي مارس دوره الحقيقي بمسؤولية، ولا حتى بفضل جمهور ظل وحده الاستثناء الجميل، يساند ناديه في السراء والضراء رغم كل ما يمر به من أزمات وإحباطات.. بل جاء التأهل بفضل هدية ثمينة منحها نادي الحزم، وبـ«تعاون» من نادي التعاون.
-هذه الحقيقة المرة يجب ألا تمر مرور الكرام، لأنها تحمل رسائل «عميقة» لكل من يتحمل مسؤولية ما وصل إليه الاتحاد، بدءاً من الإدارة، مروراً بالجهاز التنفيذي والإدارة الرياضية، وانتهاءً بكل من مُنح الثقة لإدارة شؤون هذا الكيان الكبير دون أن يكون على قدر المرحلة.
-كما أن الرسالة الأهم يفترض أن تصل إلى مالك شركة نادي الاتحاد، ممثلاً في صندوق الاستثمارات العامة، الذي نأمل أن يدرك أن تأهل الاتحاد لم يكن ثمرة مشروع ناجح أو عمل متقن، بل نتيجة ظروف خدمت الفريق في موسم واحد من ثلاثة مواسم، وهو أمر لا يمكن أن يُبنى عليه مستقبل نادٍ بحجم الاتحاد وتاريخه او يظل مجهولاً.
-إن ما حدث ليس مجرد تأهل، بل جرس إنذار صريح يؤكد أن الاتحاد بحاجة إلى وقفة «حزم»حاسمة، تبدأ بمراجعة شاملة لكل ما حدث خلال الموسم، ومعرفة الأسباب الحقيقية التي أوصلت فريقاً كان بطلاً في الموسم الماضي إلى هذا المشهد الباهت جداً المزري جداً الذي أثار غضب واستياء جماهيره وقلقها على مستقبل ناديها.
-وعليه.. تبدو الحاجة ملحة لفتح تحقيق عاجل وشفاف، بالتعاون مع وزارة الرياضة، باعتبارها الجهة المشرفة على المؤسسة غير الربحية، خاصة أن مبادئ الحوكمة والشفافية أصبحت أساساً لأي عمل رياضي احترافي ومن حق الجماهير الاتحادية أن تعرف من أخطأ، وكيف حدث هذا التراجع، ولماذا أصبح الاتحاد بعيداً عن صورته المعروفة وهيبته المعتادة.
-أما إذا كانت هناك اعتبارات نظامية تحول دون ذلك، فإن الاتحاديين على الأقل ينتظرون من المالك اتخاذ قرارات عاجلة وحاسمة، تبدأ بإنهاء مرحلة أثبتت فشلها، والعمل مبكراً على إعادة بناء الفريق إدارياً وفنياً، قبل الدخول في موسم جديد بالشخصيات والأفكار ذاتها التي أوصلت النادي إلى هذا الوضع الخطير.
-والخطر الأكبر المخيف ليس في سوء موسم انتهى، إنما في استمرار الأخطاء نفسها، وتأجيل القرارات المصيرية، وترك مستقبل الاتحاد رهينة لوعود واهية وللمجاملات أو التردد، وليعلم صناع القرار سواء الصندوق او وزارة الرياضة أن الكيانات الكبيرة، لا تُدار بردود الأفعال، بل بالحزم ثم الحزم والمحاسبة، والقرارات التي تحمي تاريخها وهيبتها.
The Union did not qualify for the Asian Elite Championship due to professional administrative work, nor as a result of successful technical planning, nor because of the genius of its coach, nor due to the performance of most players, many of whom have lost the ability to present what befits the Union jersey and have expired their usefulness. It was not through a responsible Union media that played its true role, nor even thanks to a fanbase that remained the beautiful exception, supporting their club in good times and bad despite all the crises and frustrations it has gone through. Rather, the qualification came as a result of a valuable gift given by Al-Hazm Club, with “cooperation” from Al-Taawun Club.
-This bitter truth should not go unnoticed, as it carries “deep” messages for everyone responsible for what the Union has reached, starting from the administration, passing through the executive body and the sports administration, and ending with everyone who was entrusted with managing the affairs of this great entity without being up to the stage.
-Moreover, the most important message should reach the owner of the Union Club Company, represented by the Public Investment Fund, which we hope will realize that the Union’s qualification was not the result of a successful project or meticulous work, but rather a result of circumstances that served the team in one season out of three seasons, which is something that cannot be built upon for the future of a club of the size and history of the Union.
-What happened is not just a qualification, but a clear wake-up call confirming that the Union needs a decisive “firm” stance, starting with a comprehensive review of everything that happened during the season, and understanding the real reasons that led a team that was a champion last season to this very bleak and miserable scene that has provoked the anger and dissatisfaction of its fans and their concern for the future of their club.
-Therefore, there is an urgent need to open a swift and transparent investigation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, as it is the supervising body of the non-profit institution, especially since the principles of governance and transparency have become fundamental to any professional sports work, and it is the right of Union fans to know who made mistakes, how this regression occurred, and why the Union has strayed from its known image and usual prestige.
-If there are regulatory considerations preventing this, then at least the Union fans are waiting for the owner to make urgent and decisive decisions, starting with ending a phase that has proven its failure, and working early to rebuild the team administratively and technically, before entering a new season with the same personalities and ideas that led the club to this dangerous situation.
-The greatest and most frightening danger is not in the poor season that has ended, but in the continuation of the same mistakes, the postponement of crucial decisions, and leaving the future of the Union hostage to hollow promises and to flattery or hesitation. Decision-makers, whether from the fund or the Ministry of Sports, should know that large entities are not managed by reactions, but with firmness, then firmness and accountability, and decisions that protect their history and prestige.
