وسط غموض متصاعد يلف غياب المرشد الأعلى الإيراني الجديد مجتبى خامنئي منذ اندلاع الحرب، وتضارب واسع بشأن حجم إصاباته، تستعد إيران لإقامة مراسم تأبين لزوجته وعدد من أفراد أسرته الذين قُتلوا في الغارات الجوية التي استهدفت طهران مع بداية المواجهة العسكرية.
وأفادت وسائل إعلام رسمية إيرانية بأن مراسم التأبين ستُقام يومي الخميس والجمعة في ضريح شاه عبدالعظيم الحسني بالعاصمة طهران، بعد مقتل زوجة مجتبى خامنئي زهرة حداد عادل، إلى جانب شقيقته وزوجها وابنة أخته، خلال الهجمات التي استهدفت أيضاً والده المرشد السابق علي خامنئي وعدداً من كبار قادة النظام.
غياب يثير التساؤلات
ومنذ اندلاع الحرب، لم يظهر مجتبى خامنئي علناً في أي خطاب متلفز أو تسجيل صوتي، واقتصرت رسائله على بيانات مكتوبة، ما فتح الباب أمام تكهنات واسعة بشأن وضعه الصحي، خصوصاً بعد الأنباء التي تحدثت عن إصابته خلال غارات 28 فبراير التي استهدفت مقر إقامة والده في طهران.
وتحدثت تقارير إعلامية أمريكية وغربية عن تعرضه لإصابات بالغة وحروق حدّت من قدرته على الكلام، فيما ذهبت بعض الروايات إلى دخوله في غيبوبة واحتمال بتر أحد أطرافه.
رسائل بخط اليد
ووفقاً للتقارير ذاتها، فإن التواصل مع المرشد الإيراني الجديد يتم عبر «رسائل مكتوبة بخط اليد»، في ظل امتناعه عن الظهور العلني تجنباً للظهور بمظهر الضعف في أول خطاب له بعد توليه المنصب.
وذكرت صحيفة «نيويورك تايمز» أن مجتبى خامنئي خضع لثلاث عمليات جراحية معقدة في ساقه، وبات بانتظار طرف صناعي، إلى جانب خضوعه لجراحات ترميمية في الوجه واليد والشفتين.
كما أشارت التقارير إلى أن الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان يترأس «خلية أزمة طبية» للإشراف على حالة خامنئي، مستفيداً من خلفيته جراح قلب، في وقت يعاني فيه المرشد الجديد من صعوبة بالغة في النطق نتيجة الحروق، بحسب تلك الروايات.
طهران تنفي روايات «البتر»
في المقابل، نفت وزارة الصحة الإيرانية صحة الأنباء المتداولة بشأن تعرض مجتبى خامنئي لإصابات خطيرة أو خضوعه لعمليات بتر.
وأكد المتحدث باسم الوزارة حسين كرمانبور أن الإصابات التي تعرض لها خامنئي جراء الغارات الأمريكية والإسرائيلية أواخر فبراير الماضي كانت «سطحية» وشملت الوجه والرأس والساقين فقط.
وأوضح أن مجتبى خامنئي وصل إلى المستشفى عند الساعة الواحدة ظهر يوم 28 فبراير، وتم إدخاله غرفة العمليات برفقة عدد من الجرحى الآخرين، وفق ما نقلته وكالة «إيرنا».
وأضاف كرمانبور: «الإصابات لم تتسبب في أي شيء خطير، ولم تستدعِ عمليات بتر أو إجراءات خاصة، باستثناء غرزة أو غرزتين»، مؤكداً من وجهة نظره الطبية أن الحالة لم تكن خطيرة كما تردد في بعض وسائل الإعلام الغربية.
Amid the rising ambiguity surrounding the absence of the new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, since the outbreak of the war, and widespread conflicting reports about the extent of his injuries, Iran is preparing to hold memorial ceremonies for his wife and several family members who were killed in the airstrikes targeting Tehran at the beginning of the military confrontation.
Iranian state media reported that the memorial ceremonies will be held on Thursday and Friday at the Shah Abdol Azim Hosseini Shrine in the capital, Tehran, following the death of Mojtaba Khamenei’s wife, Zahra Haddad Adel, along with his sister, her husband, and his niece, during the attacks that also targeted his father, the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and several senior regime leaders.
Absence Raises Questions
Since the outbreak of the war, Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared publicly in any televised speech or audio recording, and his communications have been limited to written statements, which has opened the door to widespread speculation about his health status, especially after reports emerged about his injuries during the February 28 airstrikes that targeted his father’s residence in Tehran.
American and Western media reports indicated that he sustained severe injuries and burns that limited his ability to speak, with some accounts suggesting he fell into a coma and may require amputation of one of his limbs.
Handwritten Messages
According to the same reports, communication with the new Iranian Supreme Leader is conducted through “handwritten messages,” as he refrains from public appearances to avoid appearing weak in his first speech after assuming the position.
The New York Times reported that Mojtaba Khamenei underwent three complex surgeries on his leg and is awaiting a prosthetic limb, in addition to undergoing reconstructive surgeries on his face, hand, and lips.
Reports also indicated that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is heading a “medical crisis cell” to oversee Khamenei’s condition, benefiting from his background as a heart surgeon, while the new Supreme Leader is reportedly experiencing significant difficulty in speaking due to the burns, according to those accounts.
Tehran Denies Amputation Reports
In contrast, the Iranian Ministry of Health denied the circulating news regarding Mojtaba Khamenei sustaining serious injuries or undergoing amputations.
Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour confirmed that the injuries Khamenei sustained from the American and Israeli airstrikes in late February were “superficial” and only involved the face, head, and legs.
He explained that Mojtaba Khamenei arrived at the hospital at 1 PM on February 28 and was taken to the operating room along with several other injured individuals, as reported by the IRNA news agency.
Kermanpour added: “The injuries did not cause anything serious and did not require amputations or special procedures, except for one or two stitches,” affirming from his medical perspective that the condition was not as serious as reported in some Western media outlets.
