دعت مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس، اليوم (الخميس)، إلى ضرورة تقليص التهديدات التي يشكلها «حزب الله» ودعم الدولة اللبنانية، معلنة تقديم 100 مليون يورو إضافية للقوات المسلحة اللبنانية.
وكتبت كالاس على حسابها في منصة «إكس»: «يوفر وقف إطلاق النار الأخير بين إسرائيل ولبنان فرصة لمنع العودة إلى الأعمال العدائية الشاملة، لكن مقتل أحد أفراد قوات حفظ السلام التابعة للأمم المتحدة في لبنان (اليونيفيل)، والاشتباكات المستمرة، يؤكدان هشاشة الاتفاق القائم».
وأضافت: «أفضل طريقة لتقليل التهديد الذي يشكله «حزب الله» هي تعزيز الدولة اللبنانية وتمكين مؤسساتها واستعادة احتكارها لاستخدام القوة»، معلنة أن الاتحاد الأوروبي اتفق اليوم على تقديم 100 مليون يورو إضافية لدعم القوات المسلحة اللبنانية.
في الوقت ذاته، أعلن الجيش اللبناني إزالة سواتر ترابية على طريق دبين جنوب البلاد كان الجيش الإسرائيلي قد أقامها.
وأوضح الجيش اللبناني، عبر حسابه على منصة «إكس»، أن وحدة عسكرية عملت على إزالة السواتر الترابية على طريق دبين، ما أعاد فتح طريق مرجعيون – دبين – إبل السقي، بالتزامن مع الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من منطقة دبين.
وأضاف أن الوحدات العسكرية تنفذ انتشاراً تدريجياً بعد التواصل مع لجنة الإشراف على وقف الأعمال العدائية «الميكانيزم»، وبالتنسيق مع قوة الأمم المتحدة المؤقتة في لبنان (اليونيفيل)، فيما تجري الوحدات المختصة مسحاً هندسياً للمنطقة بهدف إزالة الذخائر غير المنفجرة.
ودعت قيادة الجيش اللبناني المواطنين إلى عدم الاقتراب من المنطقة والالتزام بتعليمات الوحدات العسكرية إلى حين انتهاء عملية الانتشار.
The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, called today (Thursday) for the need to reduce the threats posed by Hezbollah and support the Lebanese state, announcing an additional €100 million for the Lebanese Armed Forces.
Borrell wrote on his account on the platform “X”: “The recent ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon provides an opportunity to prevent a return to full-scale hostilities, but the killing of a member of the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the ongoing clashes confirm the fragility of the existing agreement.”
He added: “The best way to reduce the threat posed by Hezbollah is to strengthen the Lebanese state, empower its institutions, and restore its monopoly on the use of force,” announcing that the European Union agreed today to provide an additional €100 million to support the Lebanese Armed Forces.
At the same time, the Lebanese Army announced the removal of earth mounds on the Dabain road in the south of the country that had been established by the Israeli army.
The Lebanese Army clarified, through its account on the platform “X,” that a military unit worked on removing the earth mounds on the Dabain road, reopening the Marjeyoun – Dabain – Ibl as-Saqi road, coinciding with the Israeli withdrawal from the Dabain area.
It added that military units are carrying out a gradual deployment after communicating with the ceasefire oversight committee “the mechanism,” in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), while specialized units are conducting an engineering survey of the area to remove unexploded ordnance.
The Lebanese Army Command urged citizens not to approach the area and to adhere to the instructions of military units until the deployment operation is completed.
