أعلنت شركة «غوغل» عن ميزة أمنية جديدة في نظام أندرويد باسم «اكتشاف المكالمات المزيفة»، وهي أداة أمنية جديدة يمكنها التعرف الى المكالمات المشبوهة من الأشخاص الذين يتظاهرون بأنهم أشخاص يعرفونه، تهدف إلى التحذير من محاولات احتيال تستخدم أصواتاً مولدة بالذكاء الاصطناعي وأرقاماً مزيفة لانتحال جهات موثوقة.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في الوقت الذي يجمع فيه المجرمون بشكل متزايد بين تكتيكين قويين، هما استنساخ رقم الهواتف، واستنساخ الصوت بالذكاء الاصطناعي.
فبدلاً من الاتصال من أرقام غير معروفة، أصبح بإمكان المحتالين الآن جعل المكالمات تبدو كأنها تأتي من الأصدقاء، أو أفراد العائلة، أو أصحاب العمل، باستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي لتقليد أصواتهم، لدفع الضحايا إلى تحويل أموال، أو تسليم بيانات شخصية حساسة بشكل عاجل.
وتعمل الميزة عبر تحقق رقمي بين الأجهزة داخل تطبيق الهاتف، حيث يرسل هاتف جهة الاتصال إشارة مشفرة وصامتة عند بدء المكالمة، وفي حال غيابها ينبه النظام المستخدم إلى احتمال أن الاتصال مزيف.
Google has announced a new security feature in the Android system called “Fake Call Detection,” which is a new security tool that can identify suspicious calls from people pretending to be acquaintances. It aims to warn against fraud attempts that use AI-generated voices and fake numbers to impersonate trusted contacts.
This move comes at a time when criminals are increasingly combining two powerful tactics: phone number spoofing and AI voice cloning.
Instead of calling from unknown numbers, scammers can now make calls appear as if they are coming from friends, family members, or employers, using AI to mimic their voices, in order to pressure victims into transferring money or urgently providing sensitive personal information.
The feature works through digital verification between devices within the phone app, where the contact’s phone sends an encrypted and silent signal when the call starts, and if this signal is absent, the system alerts the user to the possibility that the call is fake.
