فيما تجرى الاستعدادات لمراسم التوقيع للاتفاق بين أمريكا وإيران يوم (الجمعة)، بعد حرب دامت أكثر من أربعة أشهر، كشفت الحكومة السويسرية اليوم (الثلاثاء) عن مكان توقيع الاتفاق.
وصرحت وزارة الخارجية السويسرية في بيان أنها كانت على اتصال وثيق مع الولايات المتحدة وإيران وباكستان وقطر بشأن إمكانية توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين واشنطن وطهران، مؤكدة أنه في هذه المرحلة، من المقرر توقيع الاتفاق يوم الجمعة 19 يونيو في بورغنشتوك في كانتون نيدوالدن.
وأشارت إلى أن الوسطاء الباكستانيين والقطريين، إضافة إلى الولايات المتحدة وإيران اقترحوا هذا الموقع، وبحسب البيان فإن المراسم ستقام في فندق فاخر يقع على جبل بورغنشتوك المطل على بحيرة لوسيرن في وسط سويسرا.
وذكرت الوزارة أن هذا المكان يصعب الوصول إليه وبالتالي يسهل تأمينه، مشددة بالقول: «ليس ممكناً حتى الآن تقديم معلومات عن تفاصيل ومجريات التوقيع المقرر».
وكان موقع «شفايز هوته» الإخباري نقل عن مصادر لم يسمها، أن الاستعدادات للحدث جارية على قدم وساق، وجميع فنادق المنتجع محجوزة حتى يوم الأحد.
وكان مجمع بورغنشتوك الفندقي قد استضاف في يونيو 2024 مؤتمراً رفيع المستوى حول السلام في أوكرانيا بمشاركة الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي.
في الوقت ذاته، أوضح مسؤول أمريكي أن مذكرة التفاهم بين واشنطن وطهران وقعت إلكترونياً من جانب الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب ونائبه جي دي فانس ورئيس مجلس الشورى الإيراني وكبير المفاوضين محمد باقر قاليباف.
في المقابل، أعلنت إيران أن فانس وقاليباف سيقودان وفدي بلديهما للتوقيع في سويسرا.
وقال نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس إن الوثيقة تتألف من «صفحة ونصف صفحة» ويغلب عليها الطابع العام، ولم يستبعد فانس حضور الرئيس ترمب حفل التوقيع خصوصاً أنه يشارك حالياً في قمة مجموعة السبع في مدينة إيفيان الفرنسية على الضفة الفرنسية من بحيرة ليمان.
As preparations are underway for the signing ceremony of the agreement between the United States and Iran on (Friday), following a war that lasted more than four months, the Swiss government revealed today (Tuesday) the location of the agreement signing.
The Swiss Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that it has been in close contact with the United States, Iran, Pakistan, and Qatar regarding the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran, confirming that at this stage, the agreement is scheduled to be signed on Friday, June 19, in Bürgenstock in the canton of Nidwalden.
It noted that the Pakistani and Qatari mediators, in addition to the United States and Iran, proposed this location, and according to the statement, the ceremony will take place in a luxury hotel located on Mount Bürgenstock overlooking Lake Lucerne in central Switzerland.
The ministry mentioned that this location is difficult to access and thus easier to secure, emphasizing: “It is not possible at this time to provide information about the details and proceedings of the scheduled signing.”
The news site “Schweiz Heute” reported, citing unnamed sources, that preparations for the event are in full swing, and all the resort’s hotels are booked until Sunday.
The Bürgenstock resort complex hosted a high-level conference on peace in Ukraine in June 2024, with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
At the same time, a U.S. official clarified that the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran was signed electronically by U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, the Iranian Speaker of Parliament, and chief negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
In turn, Iran announced that Vance and Qalibaf will lead their respective delegations for the signing in Switzerland.
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the document consists of “one and a half pages” and is largely general in nature, and he did not rule out the possibility of President Trump attending the signing ceremony, especially since he is currently participating in the G7 summit in the French town of Évian on the French shore of Lake Léman.
