كشفت الفنانة ريهام عبدالغفور عن واحدة من أصعب المراحل التي مرّت بها خلال مشوارها الفني، مؤكدة أنها فكرت جديًا في اعتزال التمثيل بعد سنوات من شعورها بتكرار الأدوار ودورانها في المساحة الفنية نفسها.
وأوضحت ريهام، خلال مشاركتها في فعاليات الدورة التاسعة من مهرجان الجونة السينمائي، أنها عاشت نحو عشر سنوات وهي تقدم شخصيات متشابهة إلى حدٍّ كبير؛ الأمر الذي تسبب لها في حالة من الملل والإحباط، وجعلها تشعر بأن الجمهور ربما سئم رؤيتها بالنمط نفسه.
وأضافت أن الأزمة لم تكن مرتبطة بالتمثيل ذاته، بل بإحساسها بأنها لا تستثمر إمكاناتها الفنية بالشكل الذي تطمح إليه، وهو ما دفعها إلى التفكير في الابتعاد عن المجال، قبل أن تستعيد شغفها من خلال أدوار مختلفة فتحت أمامها آفاقًا جديدة.
وأكدت أن الخروج من منطقة الراحة والبحث عن شخصيات تحمل أبعادًا نفسية واجتماعية مختلفة كان من أهم العوامل التي أعادت إليها الحماس، مشيرة إلى أن نجاح أعمال مثل (منعطف خطر) و(حكاية نرجس) حمّلها مسؤولية أكبر في اختيار خطواتها المقبلة.
كما كشفت استعدادها للمشاركة في موسم دراما رمضان 2027 من خلال مسلسل جديد تتعاون فيه مع الكاتبة مريم نعوم والمخرجة مريم الباجوري، مؤكدة أن العمل يمثل تحديًا مختلفًا في مسيرتها الفنية.
The artist Riham Abdel Ghafour revealed one of the most difficult phases she went through during her artistic journey, confirming that she seriously considered retiring from acting after years of feeling that her roles were repetitive and that she was stuck in the same artistic space.
Riham explained, during her participation in the ninth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival, that she lived for about ten years presenting very similar characters; this caused her a sense of boredom and frustration, making her feel that the audience might have grown tired of seeing her in the same pattern.
She added that the crisis was not related to acting itself, but to her feeling that she was not investing her artistic potential in the way she aspired to, which led her to consider stepping away from the field, before she regained her passion through different roles that opened new horizons for her.
She confirmed that stepping out of her comfort zone and seeking characters with different psychological and social dimensions was one of the most important factors that reignited her enthusiasm, noting that the success of works like (Dangerous Turn) and (The Story of Nargis) placed a greater responsibility on her in choosing her next steps.
She also revealed her readiness to participate in the Ramadan 2027 drama season through a new series in collaboration with writer Mariam Naoum and director Mariam Al-Bagouri, affirming that this work represents a different challenge in her artistic career.
