The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Abdullah Al-Nazili, revealed the increasing cases of failure in launching ballistic missiles by the terrorist Houthi militia, their deviation from their paths, and their falling over residential areas, turning them into a deadly threat to civilian lives, coinciding with the militia’s continued use of these missiles to threaten the Bab al-Mandab Strait and international maritime passages, as well as the security of navigation and global trade.
A Missile Kills an Entire Family
The spokesman explained that the latest disaster caused by Houthi missiles occurred this afternoon (Friday), when a ballistic missile launched by the militia from the Ayial Sayyad area in the Nihm district failed to continue its trajectory, falling directly on the home of citizen Muhammad Ahmed Al-Qash’ah during a family gathering, resulting in the death of everyone inside and causing damage to a neighboring house.
He confirmed that this tragedy is not the first, as the governorates of Sana’a, Taiz, Ibb, and Saada have witnessed similar incidents due to the failure of Houthi missiles and their falling on populated areas.
Strikes Depleting Houthi Arsenal
The spokesman revealed that the militia’s missile capabilities have been subjected to significant military strikes over the past weeks, targeting missile storage facilities and launch platforms, which inflicted direct losses on their military arsenal.
He pointed out that the airstrikes by the Yemeni Armed Forces, in conjunction with the operations of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy against legitimate military targets in Saada governorate, resulted in neutralizing experts and field leaders specialized in operating and launching ballistic missiles.
Decline in Stock and Technical Efficiency
According to the spokesman, the military strikes have reflected on the militia’s missile capabilities, leading to a decline in their stock of missiles and launch platforms, in addition to weakening their technical and operational efficiency, at a time when incidents of launch failures and missile deviations from their targets are increasing.
New Quality Systems Enter the Battle
The spokesman announced the entry of new quality aerial systems into service with the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirming that they have achieved successful operational results with trained national crews, in a step that enhances the combat capabilities of the air forces and expands their potential in targeting the military capabilities of the Houthi militia.
