منذ البدء، مثّلت السياسة الخارجية السعودية نهجاً قويماً في علاقاتها بدول العالم.
ومن يريد اختبار هذا القول، فليقم بمراجعة تلك السياسة منذ عهد الملك عبدالعزيز إلى الآن، ومنذ تلك العصور الماضية أرست المملكة سياسة حكيمة عقلانية تضبط الانفعالات الآنية ولا تنساق لأي مشاعر تناقض القرار العقلاني مع موازنة النتائج القريبة والبعيدة وفق مبادئ وقيم تحقق المصالح الوطنية. وفي سياستها العقلانية وعبر الأزمات العديدة الحادثة بين الدول كانت السعودية هي من تقذف بطوق النجاة لإنقاذ من هم بالغرق.
وما حدث أول أمس من زيارة لدولة إيران يؤكد حصافة قراراتها، فالعقلانية تنحي الخلافات والانفعالات وتستهدف الهدف البعيد الذي يحقق أمان المنطقة..
وانتقال حلف مكة إلى إيران يمثل قذف طوق نجاة لكي لا تغرق المنطقة في وطيس حرب ستكون دوامة تجذب المنطقة إلى مصير لا تُعرف عواقبه. وأعتقد أن هذه الخطوة المتقدمة من قبل الحلف هي قبلة إنعاش للمتحاربين لكي يفيق كل منهما قبل الإقدام على حرب تضر بالعالم.. وحلف مكة أنشئ ليكون صمّام أمان للمنطقة من الحروب، أو تعتدى دول أخرى لإحداث اضطراب أو إرباك أمني لأمن المنطقة، وكذلك لحماية أمنها والتفرغ للإنجاز والنماء والعمل المطمئن لخلق مستقبل زاهر. وأعتقد أن إيران بحاجة ماسة إلى إنماء بلدها وتحقيق مستقبل الرخاء لشعبها، وإذا كانت المفاوضات السابقة قائمة على دولة وحيدة، فرسالة حلف مكة يمثل ثلاث دول إقليمية ودولاً قوية تتعهد بما يتم الاتفاق عليه، فالهدف إحلال أمن المنطقة من أي حرب مضرة للجميع.
وأعتقد أن في هذه الخطوة السياسية هي طوق النجاة الذي قدّمه الحلف لدولة إيران لكي تعدل من سلوكها السياسي من أجل شعبها ووجودها، وتعدل أيضاً سلوكها مع جيرانها.
السلامة تحتاج إلى الكلام البسيط الذي يفهمه المدرك وغير المدرك، كما أن حياة الأفراد قصيرة وكل فرد يريد أن يعيش في هناء ورخاء قبل أن يموت، هذا الفرد لا يعنيه الاختلاف الأيديولوجي سواء كان عميقاً أو سطحياً، الذي يعنيه أن يعيش أيامه القليلة في هدوء.

What happened the day before yesterday with the visit to the State of Iran confirms the prudence of its decisions, as rationality sets aside disagreements and emotions and targets the long-term goal that ensures the safety of the region.
The transition of the Mecca Alliance to Iran represents a lifeline to prevent the region from sinking into the throes of a war that would drag the area into an unknown fate. I believe that this advanced step by the alliance is a breath of fresh air for the warring parties so that each can awaken before embarking on a war that would harm the world. The Mecca Alliance was established to be a safety valve for the region against wars or for other countries to cause disturbances or security chaos for the region’s security, as well as to protect its security and focus on achievements, growth, and reassuring work to create a bright future. I believe that Iran is in urgent need of developing its country and achieving a prosperous future for its people. If previous negotiations were based on a single state, the message of the Mecca Alliance represents three regional countries and strong nations that commit to what is agreed upon, with the goal of establishing security in the region from any harmful war for all.
And I believe that this political step is the lifeline that the alliance has offered to the State of Iran to adjust its political behavior for the sake of its people and its existence, and to also adjust its behavior with its neighbors.
Safety requires simple words that can be understood by both the aware and the unaware, just as individual lives are short and each person wants to live in happiness and prosperity before they die. This individual is not concerned with ideological differences, whether deep or superficial; what matters to them is to live their few days in peace.
