طالب المدرب تشابي ألونسو لاعبي تشيلسي بالعودة إلى مسار الانتصارات من خلال التركيز في مواجهة مانشستر يونايتد وخوض اللقاء بشخصية تشيلسي وحصد النقاط الثلاث لمواصلة مشوار المنافسة على صدارة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.
وقال ألونسو في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي يسبق المواجهة: «في نهاية الأسبوع الماضي، تعرضنا لهزيمة نادرة على أرضنا أمام توتنهام هوتسبير، ثم خرجنا من كأس كاراباو في أنفيلد (الأربعاء) من أمام ليفربول بعد خسارتنا بركلات الترجيح عقب تعادل صعب بنتيجة 1-1، كانت نتائج المباراتين مخيبة للآمال».
وقال مدرب «البلوز» عن مواجهة مانشستر يونايتد: «إنها مباراة مهمة». «لم يكن لدينا الكثير من الوقت للاستعداد، لكن من المهم جداً بعد المباراة الأخيرة على أرضنا أن نواصل الفوز بالمباريات، وأن نحافظ على هذا الشعور بالفوز».
«نحتاج إلى تحكم جيد، وتحكم جيد في العواطف، وأن نكون مرتاحين، وأن نلعب بقوة، وأن نسيطر على جودة لعبهم، ولديهم العديد من اللاعبين الذين يتقاربون من بعضهم البعض عندما تكون التناغمات بينهم جيدة. علينا أن نكون على دراية بذلك، وعلينا أن نتحلى بالشجاعة ونلعب بأسلوبنا الخاص».
وأوضح ألونسو أن جزءاً من مناقشاته مع الفريق قبل المباراة ركز على تجاهل الضجة الخارجية المتعلقة بفريق مانشستر يونايتد بعد خسارتهم أخيراً بنتيجة 4-1 و3-0 أمام كومو وبورنموث على التوالي.
ويأمل المدرب أن تكون نتيجة نهاية الأسبوع الماضي درساً في هذا الصدد، حيث قال: «هذا لا يغير الوضع. علينا الاستعداد بالطريقة نفسها. نحن نتحكم فيما يمكننا التحكم فيه. الأمر يتعلق باستعداداتنا، وقراراتنا، وعقليتنا، مع العلم أن يونايتد فريق جيد ويمتلك تشكيلة جيدة؛ لديهم لاعبون جيدون ومدرب جيد. ستكون مباراة صعبة، وعلينا أن نظهر بأفضل صورة لدينا للفوز بالمباراة».
Coach Xabi Alonso has urged Chelsea players to get back on the winning track by focusing on the match against Manchester United, playing with Chelsea’s character, and securing the three points to continue their pursuit of the top spot in the Premier League.
Alonso said at the press conference preceding the match: “Last weekend, we suffered a rare defeat at home against Tottenham Hotspur, and then we were eliminated from the Carabao Cup at Anfield (on Wednesday) by Liverpool after losing on penalties following a tough draw of 1-1. The results of both matches were disappointing.”
The “Blues” coach spoke about the Manchester United match: “It’s an important game.” “We didn’t have much time to prepare, but it’s very important after our last home game that we continue to win matches and maintain this winning feeling.”

It will be a tough match, and we need to show our best side to win the game.”
