اعتاد الجمهور على رؤية الفنانة اللبنانية مايا دياب في صورة الأيقونة الجريئة التي لا تهاب الأضواء، غير أن لقاء صحفياً عفوياً كشف عن جانب إنساني مختلف تماماً، جانب تسيطر عليه البساطة، والخجل أحياناً، والابتعاد عن التكلف الذي ترسخه عدسات الكاميرات.
بدأت الحكاية صدفة حين تسلمت مايا دياب رسمة خاصة تحمل عنوان «حب غير مشروط» (Unconditional Love)، لتتحول اللحظة البسيطة إلى حوار مفتوح وصريح، مازحت فيه النجمة الحضور قائلة بعفويتها المعهودة: «ناقصني شويّة حبّ».

وعن نظرة المجتمع العربي لجرأة المرأة، اعتبرت مايا أن المرأة العربية لا تزال تدفع ثمناً باهظاً لجرأتها، مرجعة ذلك إلى مجتمعات لا تزال تحكم على المرأة من شكلها الخارجي، ووصفت هذا الواقع بـ«الآفة الحقيقية» التي تحدّ من حريتها وراحتها النفسية. أما عن إطلالاتها المثيرة للجدل، فأكدت أنها لا تحمل أبعاداً فلسفية معقدة بقدر ما تعكس مزاجها وما ترغب في التعبير عنه بتلقائية مطلقة.
وبعيداً عن الأضواء الفنية، كشفت مايا دياب تفاصيل روتينها اليومي للحفاظ على جمالها ورشاقتها، إذ شددت على أن العناية بالبشرة تمثل الأولوية القصوى التي لا يمكن التنازل عنها، لأنها الأساس لأي مظهر جمالي ناجح. وفيما يتعلق برشاقتها، أشارت إلى أنها لا تتقيد بنظام غذائي قاسٍ، بل تعتمد على ممارسة الرياضة يومياً ودون استثناء، حتى في حالات الحزن أو الانزعاج، معتبرة إياها ركيزة أساسية لا يمكن الاستغناء عنها.

Sometimes I feel shy, and I find it difficult to say what I want to say. I might think about expressing something, but I don’t end up saying it. So, I am not always bold, as some might think.”
Regarding the Arab society’s view on women’s boldness, Maya considered that Arab women still pay a heavy price for their boldness, attributing this to societies that still judge women based on their outward appearance. She described this reality as a “real plague” that limits their freedom and psychological comfort. As for her controversial appearances, she confirmed that they do not carry complex philosophical dimensions as much as they reflect her mood and what she wishes to express with absolute spontaneity.
Away from the artistic spotlight, Maya Diab revealed details of her daily routine to maintain her beauty and fitness, emphasizing that skincare is the top priority that cannot be compromised, as it is the foundation for any successful aesthetic appearance. Regarding her fitness, she noted that she does not adhere to a strict diet but relies on exercising daily without exception, even in times of sadness or discomfort, considering it an essential pillar that cannot be dispensed with.
The Lebanese star concluded the conversation by mentioning the contents of her bag, which she never leaves behind during her continuous travels and transitions between airports, confirming that she makes sure to carry refreshing products, perfumes, sanitizers, and dental and hand care tools to ensure she remains in the best appearance and condition throughout the day.
