أعلن أسطورة نادي ليفربول الإنجليزي كيني دالغليش، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تشخيص إصابته بمرض السرطان.
منشور بالخطأ يكشف السر
وقال دالغليش في بيان عبر موقع «إنستغرام»: «كما كشف منشوري غير المقصود على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، فأنا أخضع حالياً للعلاج من مرض السرطان، وعلى عكس استخدامي للهاتف المحمول، فإن العلاج يسير بشكل جيد».
العلاج يسير بشكل إيجابي
وأضاف: «في الظروف المثالية، كنت أفضل أن يبقى هذا الأمر خاصاً، لأن هذا هو ما ينبغي أن يكون عليه الحال، لكن مهاراتي التقنية المتواضعة أجبرتني على كشفه».
طلب احترام الخصوصية
وتابع أسطورة ليفربول، البالغ من العمر 75 عاماً: «لم أقصد الإعلان عن هذا الأمر على الملأ، لذلك أرجو احترام خصوصيتي وخصوصية عائلتي».
وختم: «كما هو الحال دائماً، أتوجه بالشكر إلى الطاقم الطبي الرائع الذي أظهر قدراً استثنائياً من الرعاية والسرية، ليس تجاهي فحسب، بل تجاه الكثيرين والكثيرين غيري أيضاً، إنهم مصدر فخر لأنفسهم ولمهنتهم».
ليفربول يدعم أسطورته
من جانبه، قال نادي ليفربول في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني: «إن الدعم والتمنيات الطيبة والمحبة من جميع أعضاء نادي ليفربول لكرة القدم موجودة، وستظل موجودة، مع السير كيني وعائلته، ويود النادي أيضاً أن يؤكد على طلبه بالحفاظ على خصوصيته في الفترة القادمة».

Dalglish said in a statement on Instagram: “As my unintended post on social media revealed, I am currently undergoing treatment for cancer, and unlike my use of a mobile phone, the treatment is going well.”

He added: “In an ideal situation, I would have preferred to keep this matter private, as it should be, but my limited technical skills forced me to reveal it.”
Request for privacy
The 75-year-old Liverpool legend continued: “I did not intend to announce this publicly, so I ask for respect for my privacy and that of my family.”
He concluded: “As always, I would like to thank the wonderful medical staff who have shown exceptional care and confidentiality, not just towards me, but towards many, many others as well; they are a source of pride for themselves and their profession.”
Liverpool supports its legend
For its part, Liverpool FC stated in a message on its website: “The support, good wishes, and love from all members of Liverpool Football Club are present and will remain with Sir Kenny and his family, and the club would also like to emphasize its request to maintain privacy in the coming period.”
